Once we actually got the ball down, they couldn’t live with our passing and movement though and we could have had 4 or 5.
I liked the way they played for the majority of last season, they looked much brighter and more attack minded than us. This season they are one dimensional, one trick ponies. Can’t see Fat Bruce changing that to be honest.

So when the bully tactics don't work it's the ref giving every 50/50 to Sheff Utd. At least some of their fans get it they are a horrible team to watch all they do is play for long throws and lump it up to Carroll who does nothing but foul and then plead innocence. We defended it well tonight never gave Carroll a clear header and made sure we got the 2nd ball when we needed to. Wes untroubled all night really.

Agreed, I’m not sure their style (ever since Fat Sam joined) is the way to go. Now putting Carroll up front just seems a crude tactic when they have decent footballers for this level.

And yup, they were very good with the high press and muscular approach until Livermore did his thing. But even then they only created one real chance, and that wasn’t from playing off Carroll.

Mixed bag of comments. I thought we took time to settle at the start of both halves and went long which played into their hands.

Goal was against the run of play but ho hum.

Once we got it on the ground we looked very good.

Our second goal was exceptional. There must have been 20 passes leading up to Sharps shot.

Ref was good I thought. Hardly booked anyone, let the game flow. Sending off was hard to judge from where I was sitting but the body language of the players showed it was serious.

Thought we deserved it, and we have learned a lot from the Preston game, particularly in game management.

You have to laugh at being called "shit" by supporters who follow a team that adopted and maintained Ishmael's tactics, have had 6 red cards this season, and contains Adam Reach as a starter!

I think it's fair to say we scored against the run of play, but also they were going for pot shots from outside the box. They only got through us once but Sharp was in behind and maybe could've done better with a chance first half as well. Still have questions over us at the back, and some really sloppy possession first half, but some of our play coming forward at the moment is back to us at our best under Wilder. Both goals today are from incisive passing cutting through their defence. The wing backs are getting into the box again. I can't say I don't have my doubts but if we keep scoring the kind of goals we've been scoring it'll keep me from moaning for a good while yet.
