A sensible fan:

"Wilder did a hell of a lot more than win the game through passion.

Every single one of his players knows exactly what to do in every situation. They had a plan for everything. They were so organised and utilised every ounce of quality they have in that team.

They are a proper team unit who all know their jobs and how to achieve success.

We on the other hand are totally clueless, one dimensional chaos. People talk about no plan B but I'm struggling to find plan A most of the time.

They won because they are a better team than us. A squad of talented individuals will always struggle against a good team."

“Sheffield United won’t forget about us because we are the enemy and being above us is everything and today they played like it . We play against everyone the same because we apparently have bigger fish to fry . Forgetting about that lot is why we were gutless today . Being better than us is all that matters to them whereas it’s not the same attitude towards from us . Which is why they are top six and we are , for the most part , painful to watch .”

I really do hope that's true, because if they do, they're going down.

I read that and did actually "LOL" they are poisoned by self delusion

Can't get to sleep, don't how Roys gonna top this on Massacre day when we play wolves.

I Liked this of the HT topic board

"anyone got phone number for the samaritans"

"Yeah 24242424"
:D

What makes it all the more laughable is that not only have we beat them one on one at their home and are 5 points and several places above them, they still will not accept we are a better team.

They may have spunked moneh but it doesn't mean the players are worth those wages or fees and they still don't seem to get the concept of 'team'!

Shamelessly taken from Facebook (posted by a Pig):

Given myself a bit of time to calm down and compose some non-knee jerk reactions on today's game.

So here goes.

That was an absolute f*cking disgrace. An embarrassing shambles.

I can't remember the last time a Wednesday side played that badly. The absolute BASICS of football looked utterly beyond us. Poor first touches all over the park, the passing was all over the place, we persisted with the same balls into the same areas that didn't work all afternoon. Defensively we were unfathomably bad. Infact I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. It was.. unbelievable. I'm genuinely struggling to put down the right words for how bad that performance was.

Utter garbage. An inspid, disgusting performance that should have wider consequences. All these little niggly complaints like our disastrous commercial department or our exploitive rip off ticketing policy become quite a lot harder to stomach when the product served up on the pitch is as offensively insulting as it was today.

Those wider consequences should start with the manager. His press conference midweek was worrying and you could see the differences between the two sides in the first 10 seconds. This is a man who has CONSISTENTLY set us up wrong for the big matches. Our record under Carlos of getting results against the best sides, in the biggest games, when we've needed to put in a performance - isn't good enough. There are gaping wide holes in this team and in this squad that haven't been addressed over subsequent years and transfer windows. This man has spent MILLIONS on a second division side that still doesn't know how to set up against more determined opposition, still can't win or retain possession well enough in the middle of the park, still lacks pace, still lacks options off the bench, still can't put games away despite the scoring pedigree assembled upfront..

It's absolutely pathetic. It really is. That we sit back and accept this garbage because he drops the odd humerous quote and cried at Wembley is becoming a running joke. We are going NOWHERE under this manager.

And I'm absolutely SICK to the back teeth of hearing "but who else is out there!?", as if there isn't a football manager alive who could set a side out for a derby game or achieve more with the likes of Rhodes and Hooper upfront. How about we roll the dice and see where it lands instead of settling for this pitiful mediocrity and this man who - ultimately - has twice and is still continuing to fail the task asked of him.

Oh and the best thing? All that applies to today's game with NO mention or acknowledgment of the opposition.

No mention that a man we cast off years ago and has spent his career in League One since made us look like absolute fools. THEE dopiest looking motherf*cker to ever play for either team ran absolute rings around us.

Or that a local teenager who has been given a chance by his club tore us to f*cking pieces while a similar player on our books is.. well who knows the f*ck where. Probably doing the best for his career and plotting a move elsewhere.

Seeing our transfer business fail to address concerns after Wembley was worrying. Watching the football last year was tedious. Our surrender to Huddersfield was frustrating. Today was a f*cking catastrophe.

Garbage. Carlos out.

Bwahahahahaha :D

one fact is that premier league clubs will be looking at one or two of our players....none of their clogging has beens

Have a like, a Quote and plus f*k'in 1 for this! That right there is all you need to know. As the season progresses, this United TEAM will be attracting attention from far and wide. Other teams in the division will be taking note and will stop underestimating the 'newly promoted, from the pub league, hoofers'. Premier League scouts will be out is force to watch and report back to their paymasters.

Downside to this success mind, is that the JTW and next summer's window will be tense, for all the wrong reasons ;)

he did win the free kick by dribbling through half their team!) and last goals and the best nutmeg anyone’s ever seen

I had to watch that Meg about 10 times to understand what/how he'd done it. In real time it just looks like magic - 'now you see me, now you...see ya!'

What I like about Hillsborough is the way they have joined up the corners of each of the stands with a curved bit of corrugated iron. It makes it look as if it's a proper stadium and it has me fooled every time I look at it.

A complete fucking mess, isn't it? The only cash Chancer has spent on that dung heap is by plastering his name everywhere. I think we should have a collection to buy them another sheet of tarp. to cover more of that shithole up.

Words can't describe what I am feeling right now so just take a look at the view from this!

I love my Blades

This is brilliant, there is so much to see in this clip, but from watching it a couple of times, these are my favourite moments so far:

- Just before Fleck's free kick, they're singing, "Six fucking years, we've waited for you...". Worth the wait, eh?
- Loads of sick Pigs to choose from, but the fat mess waddling down the steps after Duffy the Bounce Slayer's goal was balletic hilarity. A bell end with glasses on the top of his head to the right of the steps puffing his cheeks and furiously waving his arms indicating no goal after Leon's second was fun too.
- At the end, "Fuck off Wednesday, the City is ours!"

“we all know their bubble is going to pop and we’ll finish above them”

Jesus, do they never learn? Why make foolish predictions when they're then more likely to come back and haunt you.

hem scoring when we were still bouncing all around the ground, must go down as one of the worst feelings since i started going in the late fifties when i was a kid and i've experienced more than enough lows watching Wednesday

It just felt totally humiliating.

They school us.

In our home.

Leon Clarke. LEON CLARKE! Nearly had a hat-trick

LEON CLARKE!

For me it's up there with the worst feelings I have ever had in the game.

You know what got me. It shouldn't, because I'm I a grown man and quite analytical...I knew they were a decent outfit before kick off....but what really got me.

What bites me. Their players were smiling.

From the first whistle. They were smiling.

They were enjoying themselves.

I looked down at one point and that Fleck was sharing a joke with Clarke.

In the middle of the game.

Such a dark, dark day.

sweeeeeeeeeet

To be fair, those tie rods are holding the stands up.
