Surprisingly, no comments about how they only lost because Patterson was booked. As if it's somehow unfair that he can't run around fouling people for 90 minutes

No comments about how tactically inept their future Champions League manager was either
Hope BBD was booked there is not a mystery, but it's a classic bit of making shit up by the ref.

My God there's some multi personality fans over there !!!!
I'm sorry but chrissy has every right to be pissed off with them if it was my daughter they were singing their vile songs about I'd be looking for payback at every opportunity
Plus the bile some of them have spilled about George Baldock and Billy Sharps son

Wilder absolutely right to be allowed to take the managers hat off in his own personal time

They are the gift that keeps on giving .. I just can’t be arsed to try & put out a counter argument up to ppl that are still living in the early 90’s and have become so far removed from rational thought ..

I suspect that many of them think that Great Britain still has an empire and rules over half the world.

That's how bat shit crazy they come across as.

I love having them as our rivals. They are truly a bonkers fan based and it's absolutely brilliant to see how they play out losing to us again. Comedy gold they are. This a particular highlight:

"I’ve never known any Wednesday manager give much of a flying fizz about United. They are as relevant as Tranmere Rovers"

Yeah cause if you'd lost to Tranmere you'd be making that comment and all the other comments two days later wouldn't you?

Brilliant stuff.
Paul Jewell, Brian Laws and Megson all spent a lot of time talking about us.

The rest of their managers barely had time to learn their players name and work out where their parking space was before getting their P45 , let alone pass comment on their city rivals.

“United will never be anywhere close to where we once where in English football and so providing DC sells soon, we are not that far behind them.”

they have won one third rate pot in 91 years , when was this golden age of Wednesday then for any of us breathing
was it around them losing at forest green rovers ,

agree with Paul Scholes ,, get it scrapped

Thanks Roy,

one of my bosses at work said to me this morning. I hate Wilder, I had to listen to him moan on the radio for 20 minutes after the match. I said why didn’t you change channel? ⚔️🤣
This is where they are so stupidly wrong, the thick fluppets! He wasn't moaning at all; he was speaking the truth, and that lot would do well to take heed. Silly sods.

True I think they are getting to a point where it won't be impossible for them to get back to where they think they should be . Some of their fans complaining that the toilets on Sunday where not working which says volumes about how run down the old rust bucket is .
If they all took along a rusty bucket to the match, they could fill it with their salty tears, then use it to flush the toilet.

To be fair, when I was a kid it had some kudos. When they won it, it was starting to lose some of it's importance, ( Milk Cup ffs). Agree now, should be scrapped. Unfortunately the FA cup is heading along the same route.

there would be a flood .To tell you the truth there is a few pigs actually starting to accept that what Wilder said is true even though it hurts them to admit it .
The guy Simon on the podcast said that what Wilder had pointed out about We*nesday was true but then couldn’t stop himself going on to the standard accusation of him being classless and I have no idea what that means, it’s a pork mantra.

To this day I fondly remember the pig who came up to me at the bar in Prague in 2017. I'd watched us beat Chesterfield, minding my own business.

At the end of the game, lad comes up and gives a, 'Done well this season, but it'll be different next season. Huge step up in level.'

I think my response was, 'maybe'.

Wherever you are lad, fuck you...again.
I remember being sat outside a bar, me and mate minding our own business chatting about United’s promotion. Pig fan comes over and says more or less the same thing with a know it all smirk on his face.

I often wonder what he thinks now, since we’ve left them trailing in our wake on and off the field.

Why not?

1990s Sheffield Wednesday out in force.

The general theme seems to be that we're "obsessed with them," more than we are our own team and that Wilder proved that in his post-match rant.

I presume this is to infer that they are - therefore - less obsessed?

I hadn't appreciated that:

they sell-out Hillsborough every week.
have a hostile welcome committee for every visiting team.
throw missiles at every team when they score in front of their Kop.
their manager makes remarks about every opponent's squad valuation and promotion prospects.
their Captain jumps on a mic. every week and (at random) singles out an opposing player for insults...
and his (air-head) wife laughs at the career-threatening injuries of any old opposition player on her regular livestream.

I just didn't realise how nonchalant and relaxed they are about the whole thing.

I guess when you're classy and massive you just don't really stop to think about your neighbours.
As a Blade, I wouldn't know.

To be fair I'm sure I've seen people on here saying they won't eat Chupa Chups because they sponsored Wednesday in their 90s heyday
I refuse to shop at Asda for two reasons

1) Mickey Mouse cup final shirt sponsor

2) Sells shit and is full of scrubbers

My lucky escape is that Pigs had no sponsor that season and Guinness and Asda were interested thank fuck it turned out how it did otherwise my principles would have been severely tested
