What they cannot explain is what exactly is it that they imagine Wilder has said that upsets them so much?

Chapter and verse if you don't mind, or are specifics just a tad too far in your frazzled, collective ramblings?
Wilder's press conference after Sunday's game was considered, yet they somehow over-react as if the slightest
critical comment is blown up out of complete proportion.

The Blades are the team most likely to achieve anything where South Yorkshire is concerned.
We don't rattle on about inconsequential ideas as we know what it has taken to get to this point........
and you dear numpties are so absorbed with the inconsequential that you cannot see the wood for the trees.

Take a deep breath, try hard (if that's at all possible) to reflect, and rather than repeat ad nauseum the same tired, and usually misleading
self-aggrandizing bollocks, think about the here and now, for that's all that really matters. What was, what happened once, how many you once crammed into your near obsolete stadium (note the anaglypta on your dressing room walls, very on trend in some far off quarters) is something you should avoid.......but you can't, you simply can't release the past from your thinking. Like United, you're a club with a decent fanbase who love their club, much like the Blades, but until you can develop a mature mindset, which by so much of what you say seems a long way off, well until then all you will do is act self-defensively, use my club as a stick to beat us with, and become more and more wound up with the delusional propaganda that you're addicted to. Let it go ladies, before you wind up spouting the same tired and infantile bore-fest
that has become your stock in trade.

Well given that both teams have, in the past, been champions of England, then that statement is true for both teams.

They say this:
“United will never be anywhere close to where we once where in English football and so providing DC sells soon, we are not that far behind them.”

But then dismiss our "nearly men" days.
Aside from the 1991 Cup Win, all of their "success" is also "nearly" - one 3rd place finish in the League, with 3 other 7th place finishes.

They laugh at Warnock's honours board because it states losing finalists etc. then try to tell us how much of a powerhouse they were in the 1990s. Truth is, they finished in the top half 4 times in 10 attempts.
Since they were relegated, they have finished top half of the Championship 4 times in 18 attempts and been relegated from it 3 times.

So on one hand they tell us we've achieved nothing, which I agree with, but on the other hand, tell us they achieved much more, by achieving nothing.

The Cup Win they tell us so much about didn't even qualify them for Europe. That's how long ago it was. 34 years. They harp on like it was yesterday.
I'm 41 and my mates say they remember it, how many 41yos can remember things from when they were 7?

You have to go back to the 1960s for when they were truly a consistent Top-10 club. 6 Top-10s in ten years. We had 4 in the same period.

They talk like it's Forest v County levels. It's not though, we've followed each other quite closely through the years

I love that they are comparing themselves to the teams just outside the Premier League top 6. Let that sink in for a second, that is where they see themselves. Not had a sniff of top flight in a quarter of a century, but already cosying up to Brighton and Newcastle!
Where do they get the brass neck to come out with stuff like that? Not content with maybe survival, or coming down, regrouping and having another go. Oh no, SWFC will have a tilt at Europe at the first opportunity thanks very much. What is the basis of that claim? Because they had 2 decent finishes in the early 90s?

🤣🤣 a fanbase that sings vile things about his daughter. A fanbase that said and showed pictures of George Baldock who Wilder considered a close friend aswell as a colleague. A fanbase that sung about Sharp’s dead child. A fanbase who I’m sure have given Wilder lots of stick from the stands and probably in real life too. Couple that with Wilder being a fan of the team he manages….you will get interviews like he gives because he’s passionate and wants to ensure Wednesday know they’re on a complete downer and a lot of it is to do with him.

I would be 10000000% the same as Wilder. I’d be revelling in it and I hope continues to do so. Any pig that can’t see that is dishonest and a cunt.

Something that cracks me up is how worked up they are trying to convince us they’re the number one club in Sheffield. Arguing non-stop about our Older, Bigger, Better claim, flipping between “attendance doesn’t matter” and then suddenly “it definitely does,” and constantly bringing up how a MASSIVE club can be so bad. Even Wilder was bringing up events from almost 10 years ago post-match.
I honestly can’t think of anything they say about themselves that we even bother arguing against. Maybe we call the whole BDTBL thing a load of rubbish, but is there anything else?
CW gets rattled by us—proper wound up by Wednesday fans, by DR, by us just existing, really. You can see it every time he talks about us.
They’re better than us right now, absolutely no one is arguing against it.
But that inferiority complex? Still alive and kicking. Even after a Sheffield double.”

And right there is the dichotomy that is blowing their tiny minds.

“Think it shows that a lot of United fans are permanently and psychologically scarred by our team in the early 90s. And are wishing that feeling on us.”

Erm....we have happy memories of doing the 1991/92 double over them. It cost them the chance of winning the league!

You have made the same point I just did but much more succinctly. And they wonder why we react like we do! It’s like having a homeless person come round your house and criticise your wallpaper!

Why not?

Thanks Roy. I expect a daily View From Wednesday until the international break is over.

The 'we won because we exist' trophy being paraded in 2 months time.

Or perhaps 'we were best in 1990' trophy.

Maybe the 'their keeper saved more shots' trophy.

How about attendances trophy again.....

The 'we only lost 1-0, you they be embarrassed' trophy...

But despite this utterly small time behaviour, they're still the bigger and better club.

Ok Alan ya cunt.

Wow, what an insecure bunch of individuals. Can't say they bother me in the slightest.

By the way I am now genuinely obsessed with their fan base. It’s weird, all the Wednesday fans I know are sound, pretty much. All seem well aware of where they are and what they are achieving. They are all fully signed up members of the Rohl cult, but I don’t blame them for grasping onto a floating deck chair as the boat sinks behind them. But allow them near a keyboard and it all just goes apeshit.
It’s quite addictive reading, put it really is the kind of thing you normally see scrawled in excrement on padded cell walls in a Victorian asylum.

I asked a Wendies fan is he had any respect for United. His answer was predictable but non repeatable on a family forum such as this one. I responded by saying “I’ll put you down as a Maybe”. They are salty aren’t they, long may it last👍😂

they would be saying totally opposite if they had done the double over us and rohl was doing karaoke in the park hotel fwiw i dont think we give wednesday players or their fans enough stick when they come to the lane wasnt there sunday but sounded like pure hatred for us were getting right under their skin and its tearing them apart plus they know things will only get worse when rohl pisses of to st.marys and tunapig hires another clown as manager he got lucky with sausage rohl utb ftp ⚔️⚔️⚔️

But remember. Wilder wasn't able to enjoy the win because he's obsessed with something or other.

Bravo, Roy. Well worth a mini series this one. Looking forward to the next episode.

Two trains of thought.

First one is I know a few Wednesdayites who are quite sane and sensible, who you can have a reasonable discussion with about football matters. They all seem to relevatively quiet at the minute. Although I’m slowly working my way through them, one by one, making sure they are all taking their medicine.

The second train of thought is that the empty vessels are the ones who are making the loudest noise, openly opining about the poor behaviour of the Sheffield United fans on Sunday, banging on about us having a small time mentality, claiming to the whole world that Wilder is a bitter little man who is obsessed with them.

Was only 5/6 years ago their legendary chairman had em all going bandy when he suggested none of our players would get in their side.

Suppose it was ok back then.....

I assume it included lots of ‘fizz’ and ‘wee wee pipes’

I think of myself as a fairly reasonable balanced Blades fan. I've got reservations about being promoted this season and I'm under no illlusions about our prospects of success in the Prem.
These fuckers are unreal. I genuienly wonder what fucking planet they come from. Planet S6 presumably where the normal laws of logic and reason apparently cease to exist.

I was on a work leaving do recently and this guy who I've never had much to do with came up and asked 'You're a Blades fan aren't you?' I said yes and he said 'If you lot go up, I think you should sack Wilder'. I argued why would we sack the person who got us promoted? he then launched into a massive rant and it was apparent that basically, he just detested Wilder. I had to walk away in the end because despite my efforts he came back with several ridiculous arguments even bringing in the old 'when I played' (yeah mate pub league football). And that's what they are like.

We loved the first instalment so much we were crying ‘encore’ to the maestro Roy, and he (and our porcine neighbours) have delivered with all the greatest hits in part 2!!
I said last week that the first instalment would be a Booker Prize contender. However, todays sequel is even better now that the festering scab of a double derby defeat has started to turn septic.
