Hawkeye is fallable. The issue here is with Var. Within 38 seconds Sky had a still which clearly showed the ball over the line.
VAR was brought in to stop horrible clear and obvious errors that lead to game changing moments like this from occuring. Yet it ignores them and instead is used tonrule out wonderful goals becuase a player's toe was 2mm offside four passes back in a move.
Its not the tech that's the issue. It's the utter bell ends officiating on the back of it.
