Usual mix of honest deluded and downright blind I see Roy

Not the most unreasonable set of comments I've ever seen.
They dominated the opening half an hour, the next 30 were an evenly matched disjointed mess & the final 30 (when we brought our subs on) we probably shaded, but without really creating anything.

The late injuries really hurt us, but loads of our players weren't firing tonight. Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Our midfield were so far away from each other & struggled to get in the game. Up front, the ball never stuck. When McGoldrick doesn't play we do tend to lob a lot of balls into channels to get up the pitch.

Luke Freeman & David McGoldrick improved things & at least one of those players (in my opinion both, should Fleck still be injured) should start at Newcastle.

Cheers Roy! Bunch of deluded chancers that they are, these comments are no surprise at all. I didn't used to mind Villa but do you know what, the league won't miss them and we'll just move onwards and upwards while they fuck off back down to the Championship.
To play 'Who's the Most Massive?' with the other twats from S6.
Goodbye, you won't be missed.

Fucking hell anyone would think we had our best team out there and haven't been the team to suffer from the most VAR decisions in the league 🙄

I mean yes Villa where much better but we lacked JOCs overlaps and the midfield seemed timid with fleck out. Freeman starts if that ever happens again as he turned the game for us a bit. But seriously what they on about they deserve a bit of luck with the goal, they all should be embarrassed talking about fair play and demanding as much from others

I think the goal affected us for sure. I think if that counts as it should we see that out comfortably. We probably needed a bit of luck if we were going to win that and we should have got it really.

We lacked a lot of creativity up front but I’m sure that will come back. I think we will be much better on Sunday. We started to work the ball a lot better towards the end of the game without really creating anything.

Fair comments there. We were poor, but not a huge surprise with the injuries and the COVID-19 break.

Whether a performance merits points is immaterial its goals that count, beautiful goals and ugly goals count the same, and we scored a goal which means we should get the points, it would be nice if performances did count because Everton and palace away aside I think we would have 6 or 7 points more than we've got

Sheff Utd were nowhere near as good as their league position suggests. Could have easily been mistaken by anyone as being a team that are in the relegation zone as us.
Great point at home to the shite Sheffield United!
The break has done Sheff Utd no favours. They looked as bad if not worse than us. They were awful
Told you Sheffield aren’t very good.
If the goal had been allowed, it would have been a fluke; Davis barging into Nyland was one of these things. And there were the penalties we didn’t get. Probably a fair result. Sheffield aiming for Europe while we’re aiming to beat the drop? Laugh.
Can’t see how you can be disappointed by that. Sheff Utd looked like a League 2 side out there
Get in the Championship you cheating mardy cunts.

Cheers Panchero!

Well, we were not up-to-speed for most of the game, but how any of their fans can say "probably a fair result", when we clearly had a goal, is beyond me.

We were far better in the final 15 minutes, should have played like that all game.

Not sure why you'd read another club's fan's comments just after a game, they're clearly going to be heavily biased after being heavily biased watching a game for nigh on 2 hours. You were poor, and yes its to be expected, except for the many on here who were saying that you were going to be more up for it due to the noises coming out of the club and the fitness testing. Also, that we sounded like we weren't up for it. I said before the game that little should be read into that.

You didn't play particularly well apart from the last 20 minutes in the first half. THAT incident (which i'll cover) only came about following an overhit free-kick and a central defender bumping his keeper when there was no need for him to be there. He was under no pressure and the keeper had initially caught the ball outside the goal before the lumbering centre-half who was error strewn all night (season) (Hause) bumped him into the goal. Other than that you were largely subdues and while were weren't much better we did carry more of a threat. I do think you'll improve though. The game was very pre-season freindly and we just come across as being slightly ahead of you in our preparation.

Right. That.

Well nothing more to add. We got away with one although until I see it conclusively I'll hold out that it didn't cross the line. That said, it won't be entirely surprising when it has been shown that it was over the line...Anyway, its a shrug of the shoulders from my perspective, we got away with one. In time honoured tradition when speaking to other fans of other clubs we will always point you in the direction of things that didn't go our away and for us maybe this is one of those luck even-ing it self out. Clearly you'll be outraged by the decision as i would too. But, it happened to you and not us so I can let it go a lot quicker.

So on to the rest of the season. I think our defensive deficiencies would have been shown up by a sharper team. Its also why we are where we are. We also need to take our chances when they come. Good luck with the rest of your season. Hopefully we'll see you in the league next year.

This is what the View From is all about, feller.

Disagree with your “overhit free kick” comment.
1. everyone knows Nyland is suspect on high balls.

2. Norwood can put it on a sixpence - and usually does .

3. That will have been a deliberate ploy to put Nyland - and your inexperienced back 4 under pressure.

4. When you have a goal chalked off at Spurs after 4 mins of VAR deliberation for a big toe in a previous passage of play and then something as obvious as this was (even if you have a hunch it was over then VAR should check it) also doesn’t go in your favour, it’s no so easy to just brush it off as one of those things, on the basis that sh happens and another team deserves a bit of luck.

5. I’ll bet Leeds fans think your lot are a reyt set of whinging, two face, hypocritical, double standard twats.

6. This
