We've had it pretty good compared to some clubs.

The phrase 'always the bridesmaid, never the bride' suits us to a T but there are some clubs who never even get invited to the wedding.

Only fairly small clubs have it harder than us and that to some degree is expected and what you sign on for if you decide to support Altrincham or Bury or somebody.
Derby, Forest, Leicester, Birmingham, West Brom, Wolves, Coventry, Portsmouth, Southampton, Ipswich, Norwich, Palace, West Ham, QPR, Watford, Wimbledon, Luton, Oxford, Reading, Hull, Middlesborough, Sunderland, Fulham, Charlton, Stoke City, Swansea, Wigan, Blackburn, Burnley, Bolton, Huddersfield and of course our nearest and dearest have all had some form of success in the last 60 or 70 years and all of which are comparible in size traditionally to us.
Be it winning a cup, winning the League, qualifying for Europe or just spending a decent amount of time in the Premier League they have all shared some success between them at various times.

We've been given next to nothing in that time and that's why our fanbase is extraordinary

But what I want to know is.........
..... What do Sky Blues Fans think about the Sheffield attendance debate?

Reading have had it worse than us.

Reading have had it worse than us.

Reading are a strange case because historically they are not in the same category as United at all in terms of the size of the club and it's support. They've spent most of their existence as a Division 3/4 club with small crowds. Then in the 90s, as they pottered along in the 3rd division with their 3,000 to 4,000 crowds, they suddenly acquired a sugar daddy, new players and a new ground, and turned themselves into something quite different.

Readings fan base - still much smaller than ours - couldn't really be described as being a result of loyalty through adversity. Most of them have only just arrived, as a reaction to the clubs sudden success which, in the context of their history, has been spectacular.
