I think this sums up what I have seen this season. I think it's understandable considering the Play Off final defeat and losing so much quality over the summer, however gives me heart that there is still more to come from this team when 100% belief is back in my opinion

My post if more about this being the attitude for the whole season, just doing enough to all the games we have. My point was that when the belief comes back to the core squad who went through they did last season I think we will get better.

Had we been doing "just enough" last season, instead of steamrollering teams, we might not have looked quite so clueless when our striker got sent to the clink...

The team that was doing "just enough" (like scoring 6th min of injury time winners) ended up going up...

This could be the start of some radical new coaching methods across the country
I can see it now, Chesterfield's training ground tomorrow morning.
Right lads, good win at the weekend, but one little thing about it, I'm gong to have to drop a few of you for the next few matches because I'm not happy with your work rate. You're putting in way too much effort for my liking, you should be doing just enough like the Sheffield united team do. 6-1 is far too impressive, we should be winning games by the odd goal not thrashing teams. You need to learn this quick or we'll get nowhere this season.

I know a few Rovers supporters and I didn't get the same impression from them. We were just better by all accounts. Calling us a lazy side is a bit of weak attempt at sour grapes if you ask me but everyone's entitled to their opinion. We're not a high tempo team that sprints about everywhere, a lot of other lower league sides are. If keeping possession and playing the game at our own pace is lazy....then lazy it is. Don't care we won.
