I ain't giving him that. If 50% of our corners went to a white shirt or created a chance I'd give him the benefit of the doubt but half the time it's difficult not to think he's just knocking it in aimlessly.

Decent corner in the right area. Hard to knock one considering the usual tripe. I think Adkins said it all on Radio Sheffield interview after game after Rob Staton tried to say Baxter had a good game, and Adkins said it's just as much if not more about what you do when you don't have the ball. He did feck all without the ball though. He didn't create space, regulalry looked to always drop deep behind the play when we were breaking, didn't look to get the ball and drive forward generally didn't dictate play in a positive way often enough for me. He's also gone from a player who always got the ball in tight areas but always made himself space, to one who doesn't want it unless he's got an acre around him.
He's definately regressed and I think gotten lazy and comfortable at this level rather than having the fire in his belly and wanting to prove he is the player people raved about when he was a kid.

blaming zonal marking. it works perfectly fine if you can do it properly.

Sorry but speak to a centre forward anywhere in the world and he will prefer zonal marking to man to man.

yes there is something in that.

It worked in a 5 as he could get up and down - now he is being asked to be a regular CM in a 4 and is struggling a bit.

We have been saying it for weeks though - in exactly the same way as last season with centre backs.

CM will now determine "if" we progress and can get into the top 2 - if not then we will be very average like yesterday - a game which could have ended up win, lose or draw.

Adkins has a dilemma!
