I think someone else nailed it when they called Adkins "a complete charlatan".

Have we got stronger feelings against Reading for some reason?

Plastic club, a stadium that’s an arse to get to, annoying fans, Stephen Hunt, Smug Coppell, Wally Fucking Downes, Leroy Lita taking the piss over two possible transfer deals – that’s enough for me.

For Adkins, I maintain that with a bloated squad on a high wage bill, with plenty of players that were either injury prone, recovering from injury, or beyond putting in the effort, it was going to be a tough season regardless. He got rid of a lot of the crap (albeit adding some more in the process), brought in Billy Sharp, and ultimately I don’t harbour as much grief as some evidently still do. I wasn’t at the Bury away game mind...

Was talking to a reading lad in the pub after and I said with respect, even at 0-0 I'd be worried as a reading fan. I've never seen such nothingness in attack.

No pace, no height, no trickery. No hope.

In my eyes, Nige is like a cheerful middle manager who loves exercising his corporate soft skills, but doesn’t really have a clue what’s going on underneath him.

Everyone is kind of ok with that so long as times are good. But as soon as waters get choppy, neither his superiors or his staff can tolerate his ineffectiveness.

I was at Bury.

On the reverse side, if their half decent players joined us, they would be much better players. CW would sort them out.

Wilder and Knill do appear to have something when it comes to getting players to perform. Contrast Paul Coutts under Adkins and the same player turning out for Chris and Alan.

Management is all about achieving things by the actions of others, to do that you need to encourage them, direct them and give them the credit when it comes off.

Wilder and Knill appear to have what it takes, and we have profited by their ability we can only hope the owners appreciate it and back them.
