I was chatting to a few Oxford fans on my 10 minute walk to the car after the game. Whilst I was gutted, it was really nice to chat to some randoms and see how excited they were. They were all 30+ but acting like excited little kids. One even involuntarily skipped up the curb when we crossed the road. They got a result they were not expecting and now believe they may stay up. It was a nice reminder of the joys of football. We let it bother us too much sometimes. We lost a game, we're still 2nd, and don't forget that LAFAA

I can't even get mad. They're a decent and level headed fan base that know they are operating probably above their ceiling. I don't want united to lose, but sometimes I can just think "fair fucking play, enjoy it".

Just watching motd. IF we get promoted with half our squad retained and Wilder in charge the embarrassment will be more monumental than last time.

The gap we always joke about between quality of players, facilities and management is so big compared to the sh!te we put out and played today against a village team who cost less than Wilders latest embarrassing coup in the fearful Cannon.

Credit to little old Oxford who’s fans are humble in their comments and they deserve their day cause today the players were outplayed and the manager out thought, he bottled with all the praise of Rowett and admitting he expected a win.

If we can’t put Oxford to bed who are hanging on the their championship place just think, they can perform better than us and we are hoping to get promoted and stay up against teams hundreds of time more skill full and well managed than they are.

The new owners need to strip this club bare and build a new identity not go on about our history, yes it’s important but we need a club fit for purpose in the modern world/game.

The stadium is still owned by Kassam, even though he sold Oxford almost 20 years ago. Oxford wanted to buy it a few years ago but the owning company valued it way too high and the club walked away. They're trying to get a new stadium built in Kidlington.

No complaints from me, we were just not "at it" & I am not sure we deserved anything. Compounded by their hoof ball tactics, continually fouling to break up the play & going down like they were extras in Platoon, & a hard bouncy pitch, it was a horrible watch.
