An alternative to roygbiv's "view from..." This is my infiltrator's "view from orient"...I got the seats closest to united's section as possible. Happily, Not a bit of bother when I cheered united's goal...

to the lads taking the mick out of Leyton's one "ultra" in his stone island jacket, very funny... He was getting well riled over basically nothing at all.
He was also getting well narked at the blade down the front -the one in the Deane and Agana umbro shirt- having banter with the Orient lot for not singing...

That was WalthamstowBlade!

I'm fairly sure I was sat behind you actually. Were you on your own sporting?

If you wear a white shirt you're a c**t - that one?

That's me at the back of the Blades fans on the end of the row. Walthy's mate was nob.

I was the only blade there but was with two mates - one Leicester, one Spurs, both of them cheering for Leyton as,living in Walthamstow, it's our local team...

I also saw said Deane/Agana umbro shirt in the garden of the Birbeck Arms with Greenwich Blade i believe...he'd calmed down a bit by then! Nice off the beaten track boozer that one...

Fair enough though, considering they really needed a win there was nothing from them until they scored...

The point I tried to make. Some of them seemed to take it on board. When these hipster bell ends tried giving me some lip another Orient fan behind them stood up and told us that they were a embarrassing bunch of dicks he'd never seen there before. At the end of the match this old chap came over and shook my hand while this twat in his Stoney tried to kick off a row with anyone around.

The stoney twat kept getting a telling off from the pensioners behind me cos of his language..priceless it was....he was arguing with the cops cos every time he shouted down at you WalthamstowBlade calling you every name under the sun they told him to shut his face...bear in mind we were up the back and you were down the front so you were never gonna hear his squealing anyway.

I didn't notice him till after the final whistle. In fairness, I don't think a passion for Leyton Orient was his only stimulant.

Yep, that was us, me complete with my new (or old if you know me from way back) haired look - I've said I won't have it cut until United go up.

We were well chilled and relaxed out in that beer garden, and a good pub with nobody to bar me entry.

My gang are on the 3rd step down I'm obscured thankfully :). Good to see foxy, linz, boss and bartman. Was that you Walthamstow squaring up outside with stoneislandnob?
Who needs the London marathon ,just go to the bogs in the technical, what an adventure :)

Actually Greenwich Blade i do remember you from a while back....about ten years back...ITV sport programme called On The Road...I organised and filmed the interview with you.

Funnily enough, I was just looking at the VHS of that and thinking I should digitise it at some point.

That was when we beat Birmingham 4-0 was it not? I seem to remember you had a nice pitch side view next to the cameraman.

I was thinking even further way back, pre-1998 when I always let my hair grow wild and curly, like I am doing now!

Good to see you enjoyed your night in Shoreditch and Bethnal
Used to go there regular when the daughter lived down there.
It's certainly different

Walthamstow were you the one on the row that some bloke asked to take one step back so he could see what was going one and you were incredibly polite and apologetic.

If so it was me asking you!!!

Can see my lanky frame next to you! Thanks to you and Foxy again for the spare ticket. There seemed to be a few empty seats around us anyway, couldn't tell if that was people just packing in to different areas though.

That was us yes. I was the guy in the tweed jacket next to him

enjoyed reading the post lads (and lasses).

Just makes me think...........born a Blade, live a Blade and (sadly) die a Blade.
