I'll agree that some (a minority) of our fans are twats, throwing bottles on the pitch and apparent post match violence not welcomed.

I'll agree that they did what they needed to do to win the game. Containment, full team behind the ball, one counter, goal against the run of play and then for the remainder of the game there was no intent to do anything other than stick the 11 behind the ball, as deep as they could do.

However, the gamesmanship, the time wasting, the cheating, Cameron Jerome crowding the ref constantly, were awful. And if that's "La Liga" then fine, but I am glad Wilder made the comments he did post match.

Personally i think that Sheffield United players and staff carried themselves very well considering.

Meh, its our 'Walsall' nothing more. Based on that performance, we'll be way above Norwich come the end of the season, because we perform like that week in week out. I didn't expect such a negative team from Norwich, I expected an open game.

Thank God I don't have to watch Norwich every week. Cheating time wasting at its worse. If the ref was any good he would of booked their keeper and had he persisted like he did then he should of been sent off.

“Little club can’t handle a defeat”

Odd, I thought Norwich won.

Quite. The way that the Norwich players and staff went off at the end, as if they'd won the cup, spoke volumes. The turd of a keeper even threw his shirt and gloves into the crowd.

As a couple of others have already said, I've read some contrary stuff about "Norwich did what they had to" and "we've done the same", largely from, it has to be said, the usual contrary Blades, but had even just one of Sharp or Donaldson been fit to play, we'd have won that game comfortably, the poverty of Norwich's anti-football would have been exposed and Farke would be feeling the heat this morning.

Hopefully, United will learn the lessons of yesterday quickly because, from what I've seen of the Championship, that is what we're going to come up against on quite a few more occasions - in particular, next Sunday.

We try to play football (and if anything, we over-played in dangerous areas in the first-half yesterday which Wilder alluded to) but many teams at this level concentrate first and foremost on getting 9 men behind the ball, and if you let them get the first goal on the break, they will try to break the game down into a 'bitty' and attritional slog rather than go for more goals.

On the whole, there is less football played in this division than in League 1 and the massive injury-list that we have accumulated in just 8 games is testament to the physical and attritional approach of many teams in the Championship. You could say that the fixture list has done us no favours by having us playing a Simon Grayson side, Parkinson's Bolton side and now this Norwich side in the space of 8 days, so that we are now massively depleted before we even go to the Sty, where we will be in for another cynical kicking.

Dunno if it was a stabbing, but there was some blood on the floor on Bramall Lane with police tape round it. Said to my nephew at the time, I've seen more blood when I've cut mesen shaving!

Signed in especially to say what a GREAT summary Swiss.

We move on............Norwich move down - I too expected more from Norwich - the boring twats.

weren't Norwich supposed to be contenders?? yet they've come here and parked a Stagecoach francise against a team with injury problems

They say a team reflects their manager .. very apt for yesterday ... we got a lesson in gamemanship & the dark arts yesterday , cynical , in the refs face , feigning injury & time wasting to a new degree .. yes we've seen others do it in the past but I thought they took it to a new level yesterday ..if that's what you want to pay & watch Norwich you really are a sad set of cunts

With all due respect such as? LS already quoted "We asked for defeat today playing an unfit striker and a kid upfront"
Throwing a youngster in for a debut without even a sub appearance would have been a massive gamble? If any were ready to make the step up or even close to it then surely Wilder would have had them on the bench? Today was a freak day when all 6 strikers weren't fit yet one had the bottle to put the team first and give it his best shot. It didn't work. The rest now have 8 days to get fit
Would playing one of the youngsters have been a bigger risk than playing an unfit Ched? Moreover what if he had worsened his injury in the process?. I say let one of the youngsters earn their spurs in the first team if the situation like yesterday calls for it. Like i said, I'm just thinking outside the box.

Will Kim's missiles reach Norfolk?

I rather hope not! They seem to think all the fighting that went on was entirely unprovoked, I begged to differ but it appeared they weren't interested in a reasonable conversation and would rather call me a dirty northern bastard. I reminded them I actually had six fingers per hand just like the rest of them which wound them up more

Suprised they're not building a Wicker Man to put you into ;)
