People certainly don't treat us with any high regard.

I would imagine their defeat to Championship side Brentford wasn't given such a headline.
 
It was the manner of the defeat....at times they were outclassed.
Although I felt the same last season....they put almost the whole team in defence for 75 minutes and incredibly we still lost 0-2.
That defeat from last season still passes me off....so it tastes sweet to have some revenge,

Anybody who thought they wouldn't see a worse team than us did so last night Newcastle were utter shite. Looks to me like they have been carried by Saint Maximin and Almiron, very average otherwise. I can see them getting dragged into a relegation scrap how they are on 19pts I'll never know.

Does their loss in form coincide with Saint Maximin being out of action?
 
I prefer 'basement strugglers' to what those leviathans of football Plymouth's fans were calling us; 'shit Premier league team'.

When it is set out like that it is easy to see why their fans and the local press are so annoyed. It must be bad enough to watch when they’re winning and utterly depressing when they lose.

It’s impossible to justify that approach coming up against a team bottom of the league with 2 points from 17 games. It’s baffling, it’s like he hadn’t scouted us. For instance, why did it took so long put Andy Carroll on when in pretty much every game this season we’ve struggled to defend crosses. I don’t like Steve Bruce but I’d always put him down as having a bit more nous.

Please don't talk about the saviour of Hillsborough like that. They would be in champions league places now if he had not jumped ship.
 



I really enjoyed watching us last night, looked like our old selves however Newcastle were very poor, we all know and have to accept form comes and goes but one thing a fan should never have to accept is their team not trying and I thought Newcastle looked completely uninterested, I couldn't believe their manager not ranting at them, imagine wilder standing there motionless and quite if his team played with such an attitude

Boxer last night we were playing like we did last season, fast & no fear with a bit more luck could have had 3 at least. I was unfortunate enough to watch Newcastle at Arsenal in cup (waiting for Casualty to start), they were dire parked the bus same as last night,

They've been awful, statistically, most of the season but they've been very good at turning the occasional good game into three points (West Ham away, Burnley at home).

Saint-Maximin played in 8 of their first 9 games. Since then, their record is W2 D2 L4. The two wins were the first two of ASM's absence (against Palace and West Brom).

ASM is a fantastic footballer I hope for his sake he recovers from the long term effects of covid because I didn’t think he’d be at Newcastle after this summer I thought he’d get a big European move and I hope this doesn’t affect his career long term.
 
They get far too much credit the Geordies.

They're an absolutely toxic fan base with major delusions of grandeur. Constantly moaning.

I'm not convinced that in his case struggling with "the long term effects of covid" and "a big European move" are entirely unrelated.

They also claimed Lascelles had been "hit hard" but on his own Twitter account he said he felt fine after a few days
 
Steve Bruce is reaping what he sowed..

They play terrible football when they're clearly capable of better as we saw as soon as we went in front.

They play deliberate spoiling tactics, roll about at the slightest touch, shit house and play the referee for the duration of the whole game, it's horrific to watch and based on all the worst that football has to offer all the while with Bruce providing a soundtrack of monotonous complaints to excuse everything except his unambitious inept footballing strategy.

I walked out last season, not long after the Shelvey goal, a team I used to like and a set of fans that were fanatical were cheering the "playing of the referee" I was disgusted in the whole lot of them..

And the point I'm making - I don't want to stay in the Premier league at all costs, because this is how it turns out without a fully committed billionaire.. Give me a yoyo club with wilder and knill any day instead of this...

We’ve have deserved every bit of disdain they have thrown at us.
 
Can't disagree with that front page.

Worst performance by a manager/side in the league this season.

I don’t know if he moves this January then maybe it’s Beattie flu but if he doesn’t then I don’t see how sitting out a whole season does his prospects any good.
 
Ohh boo hoo how can they lose to little shitty us? Maybe if they tried playing something other than 10 at the back they might have a chance. Hope they go down tbh
