The waffly match report credits Evans as being both winger (cross for the goal) and forward (embarrassing dive).
I think both sets of fans are thanking their goalies for keeping their side in it; some top drawer saves at both ends second half.
I thought first half both teams were poor. Our passing was woeful with Evans and Lundstram both struggling to pick out red and white shirts. They were equally sloppy and portions of the first half were quite scrappy. We were not at it and they didn’t look like a side on a great run of form.
Second half we improved and managed to apply pressure without playing at our best, the difference being Duffy’s ability to find pockets of space in good areas. On balance we probably deserved the lead when we got it, but so disappointing to throw it away from a simple long ball from the restart. Draw a fair result. Good atmosphere. Still hanging in there.
