Don't you get the feeling there's a few teams out there spoiling for it, with us ? Oxford for christs sake !
 
They aren’t a happy bunch are they but as Ricky says, you can understand the frustrations considering they are comfortably mid table. Why not have a go in the cup? Ask any Blade, it can work wonders for player/supporter spirit and moral.

The reason Forest supporters took a dislike to us isn't because we beat them in that play off semi final. It is because after the second leg quite a few of our numpties went on their forum giving them loads of abuse.

When we lost to Sunderland there weren't any club forums.

That played a part and there has always been that under current there. But it doesn't explain why they went through a phase of hating us far more than they hated Wednesday. And it all coincided with that play off semi final.

I don't know whether or not you looked on their forum at that time. I did. Unfortunately a number of our supporters were crawling all over it and dishing out a lot of pretty unsavoury stuff. I found it quite embarrassing. It was the sort of behaviour that we accuse Wednesday supporters of engaging in.
 



Ipswich were absolute dog shit today. Lots of dull long balls forward and not much else, and I thought we looked comfortable throughout with more or less a second string line up. My only concern was that they might snatch a late goal but we expertly shut them down, and could easily have had another 3 or 4, and their keeper had a blinder.

I’ve done Portman Road a few times in the past and I’ve never seen it that quiet. The rivalry we had in the 90s and 2000s was born out of some full blooded games with a lot at stake that always seemed to produce red cards and contentious moments.

I said in the summer when there was thread on about the teams that don’t mean anything to us either way, and I thought Ipswich were exactly that, a bit of a nothing side, and from what I saw today they are now catatonic, and Ipswich is probably one of the most non-descript places in the world and is from Sheffield the proper back of beyond.
 
Never fails to surprise me that fans take Manager’s pronouncements so literally. I know Wilder shoots with a relatively straight bat to the press, but even he will occasionally big up or downplay a performance.

McCarthy has done an excellent job down there on a limited budget. They’re consistently mid table and a stable Championship club. They want to do 6 years in League 1 and then they’ll know real misery!

Actually from what I saw yesterday, you're more of a turded dodgy side...

Some youthful energy around the edges of the halfway line but effectively dealt with by us if there was any hint of a threat and you had no final ball..
 
Jeeeeez - they think they're crap because they couldn't muster an effort on goal; they should watch the "highlights" of Carlisle United's game and address their sympathy cards to S6......
 
I particularly enjoyed their right back second half in front of us who seemed to think that the ball was a bomb

The "rivalry"with Forest goes back twenty years before that. If not longer. Pre strike.
