View From Hull

I would imagine after today the view is one of a whole division.

Shit teams end up bottom , Good teams end up top even though they aren`t at their best.

Suck it up Dullards.

Nowhere near as much bitterness as I expected. Although they were really awful and I know how despondent that can make you

“Thanks Nige, we’ve lost to both of our local rivals in the last 3 games, if you can’t get the players up and buzzing for derby matches you can’t against the others, 1 goal by dodgy pen in last 3 games"

We are local rivals?

Fair comments. Whilst we bossed the first half they still defended reasonably well and the second half was a very even contest, albeit with two very different styles of play on show.

Even though they did have us pinned in for long periods at 1-0, I never felt like we would concede today though.

If I was a Hull City fan I'd be disappointed that they didn't get anything from the game, but that's football - we deserved something from Bristol City and got nothing.

For sure last season, we would have conceded - we are different gravy this season.

Well done Blades for grinding it out - we KNOW how to work now when needed.

At the start of the match, Adkins entered the technical area and turned around to face the south stand. All I could think about was...

This was a derby, 1st ive heard of it i thought we had leeds, rotherham & wednesday as derbies. But looking at there last 3 games for some reason Middlesbrough is also a local derby for hull. Weird people

But we grinded out a win despite Hull coming for a point, defended in numbers & try to nick it from set piece. It nearly worked a few times

If Hull is a derby then so is Stoke.

So basically it isn't.

Anyway, cheers as always Roy. International break now, have you been called up?

:)

“We are now bottom of the league and Sheffield United are top. Shows how poor this league is. Very worrying times though….”

Don’t understand this post.

Is he saying it’s a poor league because we’re top?

If so how does them being bottom fit into the equation?

I love the "view from" when we've won. I get a real sense of satisfaction from the disappointment of other fans. I got so used to our (per Wilder) managers making excuses for losing games, blaming refs and trying to find positives from games where we just weren't good enough. Whilst we were far from our best today, good sides find a way to win good, bad or ugly

He has a nice round IQ figure - hope that solves the puzzle :)

What a bizarre comment.

Indeed. The one towards us is easy to understand but ridiculous, but by saying it's poor because they're at the bottom seems to imply he thinks that the league itself is at fault, as though the massive Hull City should never be put in a position where they can go bottom.

Just weird.

Well if you close one eye and sqint a bit I suppose you could all it a Yorkshire Darby , but I:d like to say in the past this is exactly the kind of banana skin we loved to slip up on...
