“I like Sheff U fans.
Down to earth unlike the blue half of the city.”

Come on who is it who is playing our version Pitsmoor pillock on these opposition boards ?
Their dislike of our neighbours dates from the play off when our nearest went all massive on them. I know a few Town fans and they don’t have a good word to say about them.

Thanks Roygbiv. The Hudds fans were right! The atmosphere yesterday was shocking. Could probably put it down to the cold & the average display. I also think the plenty of Blades including myself feel a little unsure of the future at the moment. Yes we sit 2nd in a strong position but with the JTW coming I can see 2 star players leaving. Let's just hope we can replace them
I think the poor atmosphere was entirely down to the cold and dire second half performance. I was sat there just wishing the match over asap with 3 points intact so I could go home and get warm. Actually that turned out to be the warm pub to watch England but there you go.

Huddersfield Town supporters should be just that, not with standing no club is beyond criticism.
My own take on their own team is they have ability and are well drilled, possibly they need to play more as a unit, playing for one another and to use a well worn expression "lay a glove on the opposition".
Thank you Roy, Mr Cool.
No fucking emoji's on my machine. Bugger!!!!!!

Over 25,000 of them and they didn’t make any attempt to get behind their side, not a sound from them all game apart from when they scored but silence again straight after.

Selective West Yorkshire deafness (kop was singing quite alot) and he/she thinks they filled the bottom tier.

Actual attendance figure 27,794 and they bring 1500+ max (half the capacity of lower tier).
Nowhere near £27k in the ground.
It was quiet, but the game was so drab it was difficult to get excited.

loads and loads of people didn't turn up either.

So the gate suggested was thousands short of reality. Just one to forget and be happy at 3 points

A very interesting perspective, from a club that just enjoyed warm weather training in Spain, and a desperate manager trying to convince his team they will not get relegated. Still playing ultra defensive football will not get them away from relegation with low possession stats and no strikers.
Half the Blades first team on the bench hopefully suggests a brighter future for us.
Blades still suffering from a lack of match fitness and impetus.

Huddersfield are bottom of the league and I felt that we sensed we'd get a better result (3 or 4 nil). But then again, Huddersfield's defeats have been narrow this season - other than two games, just by the odd goal - so I think Saturday was a decent outcome for us.

Must admit the atmosphere at BDTBL was poor. Freezing condition, half an eye on the England game, Christmas round the corner, nothing fixture and a lack lustre performance. But when all this is past in a couple of weeks and we are back contending for promotion we will lift the feckin roof,
Maybe our lack lustre performance reflected in the teams performance. Get the three points and get off home for the big Southgate letdown.

To pick up on there points … yes atmosphere was very subdued ….. 2nd half we were far from at our best .. as for them brought 1000 or so for a half an hour trip down the road … never heard anything whatsoever from them & I was sat above em … as for artificial atmosphere werent they using those fucking stupid paper clapping things in recent times ?? .. Pot Kettle Black eh ..as for the football .. worst side we’ve played and you had one shot on target in 90 mins …so looks like yer part timing cling ons have fucked off back to egg chasing again , get yer League 1 road map out you fkg tin pot set of over opinionated wankers .. Bradford are a bigger club with better support & they’ve been in the doldrums forever ⚔️

Cheers Roy atmosphere was poor but like many of said spent some of match looking at World cup score, lads were rusty after 4 week break but got the points and move on to over a week of training back together and lads coming back from injuries getting fitter.

Anything said about the pitch invader and why he did it? seemed as if Stewards stood back to let him finish his prayers then he calmly got up and walked off...

Love the saltiness from some of them.

Majority were fair minded comments though.

The atmosphere was terrible Saturday, can't argue there. Worst I've heard it for a long time given there was 27k in the ground.

As it happens I quite like Town fans too.
Most of em are down to earth, knowledgeable and happy to engage in friendly banter unlike the wankers just up the A62 from them.

I even enjoyed their company in London whilst Simmos ball was still in orbit.

Forgot to mention they are the latest club to try and manufacture themselves an anthem. ‘You fill up my senses ‘ I think it was that they now play seconds before kick off to try and generate themselves an atmosphere. It failed, miserably. At least we have Smile Awhile which we sing spontaneously, not have it played over the tannoy (which the Town fans did to drown out that drivel on kick off). And we had something along the lines of ‘the world famous Bramhall Lane’ from the announcer as well. Not quite but almost as tin pot as Notts Forest.
If you think that’s the way football should be going then crack on but it’s not for me. “

“I hate all that shit.
Any club song should be spontaneous by the fans not manufactured by the club.”

“atmosphere was strangely subdued for a team at the top of the league. Think they’ve been singing the chip butty song since the 80’s though?”

Pretty much bob on for me Garyoke playing John Denver over the tannoy at the start of every half is close to being as cringeworthy as that Tom Hark he used to wank over. Yes we have been singing TGCB for decades we don't need Garyoke to prompt it. Isn't it about time they sacked the slaphead twat? And that entrance music with commentary dubbed over it fuck me 💩💩 💩💩💩💩

I don’t know about sacking him but I do think he should be told to stop fucking playing John Denver. It’s a football match, not a school assembly.

He needs to stop hijacking evertime a tune becomes popular, whether it's gcb or Tom hark or heggy n mcall he s always all over it, proper doin my head in

Granted that Blades fans are the polar opposite of Pig fans, in that we tend to talk our own support down rather than talk it up, but there was comfortably 27,000 there on Saturday.

Irrespective of whether we are currently allowed to use all of our seats, the fact is that we have 32,600 seats in the ground. For there to have been c.6,000 empty ones - even allowing for the 1,600 empty seats in the away end - there would have to have been large swathes of empty seats around the home stands. And quite frankly, there weren’t. Yes, it was patchy in some areas of the ground but there weren’t huge banks of empty seats such as to reduce the gate below 27,000.

Yeah but it was fuckin Huddersfield. Hardly gonna set the pulses racing at the best of times.
