I don’t really care about polite responses, I’m not thin skinned, offended by forum text or fake ha. I am what I put in my original post. That’s what I have seen & think ha. For the more dedicated fans (although highly annoying) I thought it may be useful tohave a returning customers opinion & sure there’s other returning fans who will have views but won’t say. I’m not interested unless SUFC are playing in the big league, I can’t change that as painful as it may sound to more loyal fans.......

As a pretty un loyal lifelong blades fan, once a supporter when last in the prem & then a loose follower during the tough times (bad I know) I’m now getting back into it again.....This is my unqualified opinion so far of the players I’ve seen...

Mousset - Dark horse, 2019 french Brian dean maybe? but better.....I think the many fan chants will massage his french ego & motivate. Potentially the new SUFC superstar?

Robinson - Some nice moments of goodness not greatness, not sure about him yet, may needs longer to settle in. Hopefully not too long.

McBurnie - Similar to Robinson but all I can think of is the figure 20M, lots of pressure understandably. Hope wielder can train him to perform even better and gel ASAP, understand he has the SUFC work ethic usually but needs to balance that with intelligence.

McGoldrick - Understand he did well in division 1 last year but really feels like a mid field player, great at creating opportunities but not finishing at this level? Maybe two more chances (not starting) before winding him down?

Sharp - Legend & fans favourite but I’m just not sure about him ever being in the top two, can’t he start in mid field and then be switched at half time?

Fleck - is he better than freeman? I’m confused with that one, seemed to have a good game today but also saw freeman ripping through midfield in one game (blonde quiff in tact...)

Norwood - saw him make lots of mistakes in the Bournemouth game, too many but his crossing seems like the Sheffield version of beckham so think let’s keep him in.

Lundstram - rob your wallet with shell suit tucked into socks at night but seems a good player by day. Keep him in for now, confident all rounder.

Baldock - good maybe a bit inconsistent

Basham - get him confused with Baldock, think he’s better.

Egan - seemed to play very well today. To be honest don’t think defence is the problem we just need glory goal scorers to keep glory hole hunters interested.

Henderson - fantastic, is he on loan? How long have we got him. He’s essential.

Think that’s the full team covered, please let me know if accurate.

You missed a couple out:-

Stevens - Like Leslie Nilsen but not Norwegian and not blonde. Also looks likely to score more than once every 100 games. Could be a future star in the making.

O Connor - Seems a bit on the large side to be a winger. Really needs to get forward more as he spends a lot of time in and around his own box. I’m more used to us having nippy wingers like Frank Carrson or Mitch Whitehouse.

Interesting. Now, I feel that I'm a very long way from being the world's greatest Blade- non-football family, semi-detached Blade as a kid, only got back into it through my son, Esteemed Forgeblade, 20 odd years ago, when I was nearly 40. However, we've had season tickets together for about 20 of those 20 odd years. Some of it's been good, some (very recently) pretty awesome), some frankly shite (the years just before the awesome ones and some others too). I am aware of the club's history, and by your measure, you've only been "interested " for 6 years out of the past 43 (this is an estimate due to strong beer consumption). I don't think this puts you in the category of "fan". Perhaps a different football club would suit your needs better. One that's in the "big league " all the time. You never know, that might end up being SUFC. If it is, we won't need you, but we'll remember that you weren't there when we did.

But I like them again now & If someone asked me if I’m united or Wednesday I’ve always obviously said united as that’s what I’ve grown up with. So where do I fit in?
