As a pretty un loyal lifelong blades fan, once a supporter when last in the prem & then a loose follower during the tough times (bad I know) I’m now getting back into it again.....This is my unqualified opinion so far of the players I’ve seen...
Mousset - Dark horse, 2019 french Brian dean maybe? but better.....I think the many fan chants will massage his french ego & motivate. Potentially the new SUFC superstar?
Robinson - Some nice moments of goodness not greatness, not sure about him yet, may needs longer to settle in. Hopefully not too long.
McBurnie - Similar to Robinson but all I can think of is the figure 20M, lots of pressure understandably. Hope wielder can train him to perform even better and gel ASAP, understand he has the SUFC work ethic usually but needs to balance that with intelligence.
McGoldrick - Understand he did well in division 1 last year but really feels like a mid field player, great at creating opportunities but not finishing at this level? Maybe two more chances (not starting) before winding him down?
Sharp - Legend & fans favourite but I’m just not sure about him ever being in the top two, can’t he start in mid field and then be switched at half time?
Fleck - is he better than freeman? I’m confused with that one, seemed to have a good game today but also saw freeman ripping through midfield in one game (blonde quiff in tact...)
Norwood - saw him make lots of mistakes in the Bournemouth game, too many but his crossing seems like the Sheffield version of beckham so think let’s keep him in.
Lundstram - rob your wallet with shell suit tucked into socks at night but seems a good player by day. Keep him in for now, confident all rounder.
Baldock - good maybe a bit inconsistent
Basham - get him confused with Baldock, think he’s better.
Egan - seemed to play very well today. To be honest don’t think defence is the problem we just need glory goal scorers to keep glory hole hunters interested.
Henderson - fantastic, is he on loan? How long have we got him. He’s essential.
