Here is your view from Gillingham in the absence of unreliable Lazy Roy. No link to a fancy page but I have put it in both bold AND italics......

We wasn't at our best today but a point would have been a decent result got to cut out the poor goals as a team.heads up #gills

second half and sheff utd deserved the goal, not a pretty goal to give away but on balance they deserve it, writing this with 73 minutes gone I fear I can only see 1 winner if anyone is going to win it, and its not the gills

but lets be honest, on balance we can't argue, yes we threw it away, but we also looked the inferior team, we put ourselves under far to much pressure and just don't do the basics right.

Can't complain thought they were much quicker, stronger and much the better team. Thought we were really poor apart from oshi,Byrne ehmer and Konchesky. Jacksons fault for first goal and obviously Pask for the second. Very disappointing afternoon, with small crowd and no atmosphere and a poor team performance,

We were totally dominated by a average Sheffield United side. I think without some individual brilliance in certain games we are a very ordinary side and the doubts about jed are exposed once again.
Very unhappy with the performance and the manner in how we managed the game when we were leading, you could sense something was going to happen.

Didn't deserve anything out of that game, but to lose in that manner is a joke.

I thought our main problems started when JE changed the shape of the team at half time. Josh Wright and Ryan Jackson did not have the best of games today. But I do agree the whole match was quite frustrating. My MOM was also Oshikaja because apart from a small slip up when he got booked for a foul on Coutts he had a very good game. We don't seem to have a good record when being televised.

GFC going nowhere.
We never really tested their keeper whereas Bond made a few good stops.
JET was off form and other than his one on one MacDonald was either starved of service or can't really influence games anymore (you choose).
Shot ourselves in the foot for both goals.
Unless Dack felt something then I am amazed that he was taken off.
Strange performance all round

Too many players off form, plus the curse of the Sky cameras yet again!

Life constants: England are rubbish. Gillingham will always blow it on Sky Sports

Overall I was disappointed with the amount of midfield possession that we managed. A draw might have been a fair result but given how Sheffield Utd bossed so much of the game you couldn't complain at the result.

Seemed devoid of ideas all game,Deji and Dack were immense,Bond made one excellent save,Ehmer was pretty good, that's where it ends.not seen stats for game, but guess everything was in Utd favour.not commenting on Pask,he will learn from it,hard way.

Was the plan to make an average SU team look good for the TV? Sadly I thought the midfield were predictable and void of ideas all afternoon. So many loose passes!

Oshilaja 8 I thought he was outstanding today. Cleared numerous dangerous positions and used his strength to either retain possession or win the ball.

Once again Jed has demonstrated a lack of tactical awareness

Terrible again today it seems to me that J E just puts 11 players on the pitch with no direction!
Lack lustre was the main word to come out of today!
JE has some good individuals in his squad but no idea how to play them as a unit!!

Its all down to poor game management,J E has not got a clue!!!
I will reiterate I think we have some good players but they are being organised by a clown!!

I am not one who wants JED sacked as I think he has over achieved at Gillingham but this season he has made some weird subs and tactical changes, Ok today Sheffield United were on top in the first half but without creating any major chances but the one that worried me was taking Dack off, he looked the only man on our side capable of doing anything which he proved with his free kick. Another mid-table finish for us I fancy.

Dack is still carrying a knee injury he is a shadow of his former self for me.

Dack clearly not fit

Why is it whenever we win the majority of opposing fans say we're bang average? Suppose it has nothing to do with being better in possession and so on............

There were a few positive comments about Oshilaja, number 6 at centre half, that confirmed to me what I thought at the game. He was their best player and to me looks like one to keep an eye on. Very quick, strong, decent leap, better on the ball than most athletic L1 CBs, got the better of our strikers one on one and swept up a lot of our attacks.

Good OP Herbert.

Agree about the "average Sheffield United side" quotes.
The reason they always appear is because we are just that.
6 years in Division 3 proves it.
Hopefully we can progress to being sufficiently above average to get promoted from Division 3 this year.

I've just watched it back. I can see why nobody took a punt on Bradley Dick. Not fit and that isn't just down to a knee injury. Baxter with a bit more hair.

Were you there? I saw a fella in the away end with a distinctive goatee....

Cheers Ricky, I will take these "lucky" wins all season if it means promotion..........

Home Team: Gillingham - Away Team Sheff Utd

Possession: home 48% Away 52%

Shots: Home 10 Away 15

Shots on Target: Home 5 Away 6

Corners: Home 1 Away 5

Fouls: Home 12 Away 14
Just out of interest, is fouls, fouls conceded or awarded?

I thought we played well throughout the game and the system worked. After some worrying moments in the first half the centre halves dealt with everything. Duffy and Coutts used the ball well, Duffy in particular set up a lot of attacks with his intelligent play and passes. We were undoubtedly the better team in both halves. I think 3-5-2 might be the way to go away from home if Freeman can replicate his performance today - he will have harder games.

It looked like it was going to be yet another game where we miss chances, go 1-0 down (to a wondergoal) and lose any chance of winning it. It wound me up - we look decent but keep losing, I thought. I would've been a bit speechless if we lost that. Very pleasing to come from behind and win for the second game in a row - that's got to mean something - we'd have never done that last season.

Very important and much needed win. Great way to do it too, we don't often do that. It's been a long time since I've celebrated at an away match like that. Hopefully it won't be this season's Peterborough, hopefully it's more of a sign of things to come.

Yes,they seem to have him down as their MoM,and agree he looks decent.

He'd be perfect as a right centre back, though they played him on the left of the two.

Out of contract at Cardiff next summer too.
Justin Edinburgh had him for a spell at Newport aswell as a couple of stints last season,so must rate him...maybe one to watch out for.
