incredible

is a ridiculously over-used word. Often to mean the opposite of what it actually means.

'Famous' should never be used.

If they are famous, you have already heard of them so there is no reason to say it.

If they aren't, why are you using it?

What about this obsession with answering every fucking question with "yeah" or "yes" before anything else.
I overhear it so much while Mrs BB is watching Eastenders *shudder* before I manage to break out of the room.

"How are you today cockney fuckwit?"
"Yeah, not bad fanks".
Why did you answer "yeah"?. They asked how you were which requires a descriptive answer, they didn't ask "Are you alright?"

Top Gear audience:-
Clarkson - "Who wants to see poncey luvvies lap?"
Audience - "Yeeeeeeeessss". No, not yes you feckin divs. It should be "meeeeee" or "I'm not bothered thanks all the same"

Cool. So, I did, like, reply, like literally a few hours ago, you must have, like, missed it mate :)
Sorry got lost somewhere in the middle, pal....... :)

It was the "View from Fleetwood" that confused me. I thought you had changed your name back.

The one that really pisses me off is people who say 'can I get', instead of ' can I have'.
My son says this and I pull him about it every time I hear it. He's my lad and I love him, but when he comes out with 'can I get' I could gladly punch his head
straight off his shoulders.
Others for the list; kinda, gotten, for sure, I guess........the list is getting endless.
And don't ever try to 'high five' me or call me a 'guy', you may end up in hospital and I'll end up doing time!
Yep, I'd love to work behind a bar and say "no you can't, I'll get it for you. That's what I'm paid for"

Wow, this thread is very unique

I hate that - there are no degrees of uniqueness

Something is unique, or it isn't

Yes. I agree "very unique" is certainly otiose. But, on the other hand "close to" or "nearly" unique is academically acceptable. "This may not be the only one of it's kind but it's one of only two or three" would permit the above description, in my view.

A bit like the very latest scores.

and using 'like' as a pause, starting every sentence with 'so'.........

'So' ! " hipster" speak apparently, whatever the fuck a "hipster" is. If I hear anyone on radio or TV answering questions with "so" I have to turn off.

The upward inflection at the end of a sentence is annoying

Personally hate when I'm greeted with " HI guys" when I go to a restaurant

Grumpy old man that I am

Angry of Harrogate ( Elsecar really)
