I guess it's the bitterness of losing that makes them say Cov played shit. I thought the teams were evenly matched and actually playing in a similar way, (which made it look like playground football at times): any player taking the ball forward was pressed quickly, players offered up and supported each other, both teams battled and scrapped for every ball, and both had the potential to break at any moment and score. We just did it better.

I don't think any of our players would have come off and said that was an easy win, despite the scoreline.

"Nice to see they’re still dirty bastards as they always have been going in hard on COH after about 12 seconds though

Has this idiot seen the replay?
You mean the one that shows George quite close to him, but no contact of any description, so no foul, no dirty play?

I wondered the same, but if he has, I doubt he’s gone on their message board to amend his view, it doesn’t suit his one eyed agenda.

Bloody arrogant lot aren’t they. Well we don’t like them either. Have they run out of tennis balls by the way?

Ohh the lemons , you can just taste the bitterness 🍋 🍋🍋🍋 , couldn’t happen to a bigger set of over opinionated none descript pricks .. merry Christmas 🎅

“Absolutely battered them last 15.”

Is this clown being serious or is it an attempt at some form of macabre humour?

We had 10 men on the pitch for the last 15 you cretin 🤣🤣🤣
I don't remember Wes having many saves to make to be honest. We basically gave them possession for the last 15 minutes and they did fuck all with it.

Wah

I agree, they were better than us for the last 15 minutes. Unfortunately there are 75 preceeding minute's to worry about, those minute's in which they conceded 3 goals and missed a penalty.

Yep, the ref was all for us, we play dirty and get away with it, he said, having just watched them be given a penalty and us a red card.

The hypocrisy of calling someone sad for looking on opposing fan forums. Either Roy is very very very famous or I reckon that lad has, you guessed it, looked on our forum. Sad sad life that fella.

I wish it did but I'm afraid Coventry fans just saying "were really good and in form" doesn't win games 😀

Not sure why Coventry are bitter towards us, presumably stems from the game where they went on the pitch at their place. Personally not that bothered about Coventry, never respected them as a club though to be honest. A city of 430,000 and a one team city, they should be better supported over the years after 30 years of interrupted football in the top flight. Maybe it's one of those places that is full of Man U fans because their own club isn't worth supporting.

Literally not relevant.

Mid table mid country and nothing interesting about them at all. The only entertainment they provide is the massively bitter fans that think they're wildly more relevant than they are. Just like Hull.

We're, for now, joint top and contending for autos and no one cares, apart from us obviously, so how the fuck could anyone muster half a fuck about Coventry. You can at least take some comfort in knowing that a few times like Burnly, Blackburn etc will have been asking "whats united score" yesterday to see how we impact their chances. No one outside of their deluded fan base will have asked for the Coventry score, because, well, why?

I actually think Cov may well get into the play offs if they hold onto Gykores, he's clearly too good for the Championship and I think Everton are sniffing around him. You're right on Cov fans though, I actually rate Hull fans, they may be bitter too but generally they are a loud bunch from my experience, certainly on the road.

Well I'm a petty man child so I hope their precious Gykores gets bought by Real Madrid in Janary and they slide down the table where their concerns next season are the best places to park in S6

Morning Roygbiv thank you again thought first few comments were from the pig's 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Teams asking how we're up top should look at yesterday (and try to be impartial).

We made two big mistakes, one was a rare bad touch in the box from Anel to gift the penalty, the other was Egan. Both unexpected from top players at this level. Otherwise we restricted Coventry to few real chances even when on the back foot.

Other end of the pitch we score three. But three different goals. Caught them on the break with pace and skill. Caught them out at a set piece. Caught them out when Berge, having had a quiet game, decided to casually walk past a couple of defenders leading up to the ball getting put back along the deck for a good bit of poaching from a midfielder.

We defend very well even if we go without the ball for periods. When we get in that final third we have so many players who can hurt you. Sharp rattled the bar. McAtee can run past you. Berge can waltz past you. Norwood can play through you. N'Diaye...he does whatever the fuck he wants but you know it's going to be good. We've got big buggers who'll bully you at set pieces.

We haven't played the free flowing, possession football for a few games now but we have so many ways to hurt teams.

And that's STILL not our best side. Doyle not ready to start. Bogle missing. McBurnie missing. We're getting wins and we've not been at our best yet in what I think is a very competitive top half of the Championship.

Agree with most of their comments.
We are NOT this super dooper attacking side like Fulham and Norwich have been in the past.

However as mentioned, we are so well drilled and hard to play against. Then we have a few quality players who can create chances from nothing and we score.

Success in the Championship is based on consistency and we have a style that helps us be consistent. Even when we play poorly we are still able to gain draws or even wins.

As their manager admitted in his post match interview they struggled to deal with N”Dieye and McAtee, who were the 2 stand out players of the match.

“Can’t think of a quieter ground at 3-0 in 20 years. Awful atmosphere everytime I come here. Away end is dreadful too.”

It‘s an awful atmosphere every time he comes because it’s Coventry City we’re playing. Let’s face it, it’s hard enough to get up out of bed to go and watch them never mind get up for the match.

They've managed a goal a game, and sitting mid-table. We've scored 41 goals with a goal difference of +20, and sitting in 2nd place 8 points clear of the playoff contenders.

Prior to the game their fans were generally more optimistic than Blades fans, which tells you something about both sets of fans??

What a absolute dick end of fan trying to disrespect our Roy and his family. I used to have a soft spot for these cunts. What a absolute pile of shit they were on the pitch and I hope Mike Ashley & co send them were they belong playing football in a park with Bury &co
