Roy, can you please answer my calls and texts. I miss you. It was a mistake. Today has made me realise you're the one.

Cheers Roy.

“Parachute payments.. it shows why we need to go up even we get battered, the cash is massive and buys you a top six places the next season"

Hi, Luton here can we have a chat please

To be fair, for the most part, a very reasonable set of comments.

They acknowledge that we were a level above and well deserving of our victory, and probably rightly say we will get our arses handed to us if we go up next season...
that's not really a stick to beat us with though, the gap between the two divisions has never been greater and any side going up will likely suffer the same fate.

If parachute payments were to be scrapped, the gap would widen even further as no sane Owners would put their club's entire future at risk on an improbable survival gamble.
They're not "failure payments" as so many choose to characterise them, but there to promote competiton in the PL.

What I would say is that, should we fortunate enough to achieve promotion, we will undoubtedly be better equipped than we were last time.
We have new owners, a better squad base, and a galvanised manager that knows what's needed (it likely still wouldn't be enough, but you'd expect more competition and fan buy-in).

All the stuff about us being "physical, nasty, shithouses...." whatevs.
They're probably right, our record with the EFL would back it up... but I like that identity.
We know how to win games of football and one part of that is gamesmanship and not being a soft touch. The lads are happy to mix it and will back each other up.

Some say we should be playing better football, but it's this football that has now won 85 points after 39 games.
It's an almost record breaking tally for the Championship (believe Reading & Leicester may have beaten it in the past).

We know what we are. We're a team that attacks in transitions.
We're comfortable not having the ball as we know we have sufficient quality to win most games with sucker-punches.

The Coventry fan that thought they controlled spells is absolutely kidding himself.

"Why are they licking Campbell’s bum hole. Scoring 10 goals in a top 3 team isn’t all that.”

Because one of them was against dem Pigs and 1 was against Coventry. Ergo...spread 'em Tyrese 👅.
