Rumours of bust ups, picking his favourites, dire football, players past their best, aimless hoofing.

Their manager sounds familiar, is he someone Id know?

Miserable load of moaning losers, not one mention of that twat Sordells reckless challenge on the legend that is Paul Coutts

Nice to meet up with last night BOS, hope you enjoyed your curry, we eventually found a decentish pint.

Great result, bad news re Coutts - hope to bump into you & Kenilworth sometime soon.

Good to meet you also. The food was amazing at the Balti Tower. I went back to the Coopers to say hello to WhiteHawk who introduced me to sloe gin cider. Now that was worth going back for :D

Nice to see them wish Coutts well after that cunt smashed his leg.
Just read the Burton fans views and thought exactly the same...perhaps they dont want to upset Sordell...id love to upset the twat. All the best Coutts.

I notice Forest and Derby are both away ,so that excuse for playing Friday night is bollocks ,why the hell did we have to play Friday night ?

I forgot how much sense he talked when he was interviewed, just makes Adkins interviews seem even more cringeworthy. Love how he bristles at some of the interviewers stupid questions.

Thought Burton battled well at times, but they were no contest for United.

Good luck to Nigel Clough and Burton for the rest of this season.
My wishes for Clough include an end to the relegation fight.
Let relegation be definite by March.

Nigel Clough’s post-match interview, for old times sake: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05nf04m

The difference between his interview and Wilder's (any one you choose really) sums things up. Clough is so negative. Basically says we are not as good as SUFC and then goes on about Sunderland losing lots of home games so they are not as bad as them (home run). Talks about how tough Brentford is away (next game) and how that it is harder there on a night game too. Just throwing excuses in ready for losses. Just a really poor approach for me.

They are a bit out of their depth but imagine if Wilder had same mentality. We have one of lower budgets probably but this acceptance we dont have say players on as big a wages/cost as much is pathetic from Clough. Such a negative mentality.

He did well initially at SUFC and remember those cup runs but quite a limited manager and probably League One is about his level; sadly his current demeanour and attitude will rub off on his players you feel and they will believe they are not good enough and take him back down there too.

At the time I had mixed feelings when we moved him on but he really did pack the squad full of junk over the years and it was ultiamtely the right decision. Just the Adkins appointment made him seem even better than he was.

His petty falling out with players (Collins, Butler etc) seems to be continuing there too. It seems he has packed the squad there full of journeyman has beens too. The approach to picking off younger lower league players like Jamie Allen is a far better approach then signing likes of Warnock, Buxton, Barker, Varney etc

They have played a few games on a Friday. A few teams used to do this. Barnsley in the 60-70s and Tranmere in the 80s-90s. They wanted to attract fans that might watch so called bigger clubs in the region. My Dad said he used to go to Oakwell a fair bit in that period with my Uncle just for something to do on a Friday night. Always baffled me when he told me that.

Still no idea why the game was changed really but might help us with Fulham having a day less to prepare - mind you Johansen (bug) and McDonald (suspension) may be back.

From their fan forum (not nicking Roy's job!) the old "journeymen" phrase, bet every manager in the Championship wishes he had Chris Wilder's team of "Journeymen"!

"...Sheff utd,a team of journeymen. Free transfers and small undisclosed fees ,Not one top player in defence, most lower league players, midfield, fleck Duffy from Burton and Coventry .Coults not played championship football for at leastzene 3 years Sharpe been around the championship for years, and Clarke former clubs Scunthorpe --Bury ,Buxton--Turner--Warnock, players been around the championship, for years and premier league experience, so they know what to expect.
Sharpe 2 goals--Clarke 1 goal ,A disgrace when we keep our young players out, because Warnock--Turner--Buxton--Macfadzene, on paper know how to defend .
Changing systems don't work ,because we use the same players, Easy to remedy cut out the mistakes. A method we have used .Reality these players are not good enough, Warnock--poor Buxton--Turner --Macfadzene ,slow and age against them, pace needed in the centre of defence,What a mess we are in when Naylor and Flanagan cannot get a game with a defence that is shipping in goals ,Akins should be centre forward, he is the only player that upsets opponents,
We are supposed to be strong in midfield, about time we showed it, forwards. the good news we always play without goal scorers,
p-s nice to see Miller availible

Page 4 there is a good read. That word "momentum" is mentioned again

It’s surreal, they’re complaining because Derby County fans aren’t coming along to make their games sell outs, I’ve never read anything like that in my life..

One poster saying it’s because they sing anti Derby chants and county fans are sick of it .... arse and elbow come to mind...embarrassing or what..

Wonder how easy it would be to make their ground all-seater and what that would do to their attendances. They have one more season in the championship before they have to be all-seater.

Getting relegated on purpose
