They know us as well as we know us.

We know us? We know which UTD are going to turn up? We know what formation we are going to play? We know who will make up the bulk of the team? We know what our playing plan is? We know what Adkins will do or say next? errrr-errrr

“Bit disappointed not to have got two or three more goals against that bunch. Joke of a club.”

“What is the crack with Sheff Utd? there is literally no reason for them to be so shit.”

“Was surprised at John Brayford last night, didn’t look overly interested (to be fair none of their team did)"

"Oh and how can it possibly be that a Blunts side do not play in stripes. What a shambles."

UTB... :(

Roy, as ever, thanks for the thread - please see below my email to the club just now:

" Firstly, I was not at Bramall Lane last night, but I have to point out that Burton's forum this morning carried a comment that called us a 'joke of a club'.

Secondly, I have followed United for 58 years, and apart from the Division 4 excursion, have never felt that such a comment was correct or necessary before. Protestations about £8 million investments will not change the situation - the Board's policy has clearly failed, and the Directors should consider their position now".

That is where the blame lies, nowhere else

An unambitious invisible board. It`s always been the case at Bramall Lane.

McCabe and his fellow so called director`s are killing this club.

I think they don't know us at all if they think our fans blame anybody else except those within our own club.

The only good thing is that over time, they will get found out, and over time, long after McCabe, the current managers and the current players have all gone (and maybe most of us), Sheffield United will be great again. Burton are another Tranmere, or Yeovil, a brief flirtation with the upper leagues, and then crashing back down.

Thanks anyway Roy (for depressing me even more) :)

The season isn't over.
No club has been promoted, relegated.
Clubs sometimes deserve a little sunshine instead of rain.
It's unfortunate that Sheffield United are experiencing the longest ever footballing tsunami in our history.

As much as I would love to see it. I don't think The Pigs are gonna be relegated.
Which is a shame.
No I assumed Burton would be going up and the pigs fail to get promoted

" The biggest crowd Burton have ever played in front of" - what a poignant fact for a top of the table team playing 12th in the League, having come up from League 2 last summer and us moving towards our 6th year on the trot.

Think it’s very rich for their fans to be criticising Done for “play-acting” given the antics of Bennett and McLaughlin in the latter stages. I also find it odd that one of them says McLaughlin was outstanding. He didn’t have a single save to make all game. He did nip in and smother a ball at Done’s feet early on but that’s it. We never worked him all game.

Fair play to them though. It’s a massive achievement for them to be where they are. They are not spectacular but they go out there and work hard, they’re organised and the team is more than the sum of it’s parts. They are qualities we are sorely lacking. They were comfortably better than us.

Seems a common theme that the smaller the club the more we get called arrogant etc. Smacks of chips on shoulders because I struggle to see where they all get this impression from.

We're angry about our situation and rightly so. That doesn't by default mean arrogance. We don't think we have a right to beat anybody but we do have a right to expect better than the situation we find ourselves in.

“To save you the bother, I’ll summarise what the numpties are posting on their forum:
It was Clough’s team and it’s still his fault that they are losing.
Burton are shit.
Burton only took 500 fans. And are shit.
Clough is shit. Sheffield United are only shitter because Clough used to be the manager.
Burton controlled the game. But not because they were the better team, but because Adkins is shit.
Adkins is called Nigel and all Nigel’s are shit.
United have lots of fans, even though they boo a bit, they are still fans.
Look how many fans we have got. Burton are shit.
Brayford is shit. Clough brought him. He was disinterested. Even though we have no idea what the correct definition of disinterested actually is. Anyway, knowing the actual meaning of words I like to use, even if I use them in completely the wrong way, is shit.”

Brilliant :D

Did anyone else realise, when assessing the match in your mind on your way home afterwards that when done went through after a min & their keeper came out well at his feet & smothered the ball that was our best moment?.................the only plus point in all this,is that surely things can only get better? ?UTB
