Where's this 50 million tripe come from?

Cheers roy, but wow them last few about the ref, he was the most biased / corrupt ref ive seen

They were quite noisy, slightly annoying with singing about going up. I’ve heard Leeds v Boro sing about being top of the league, briefly as we played the following night and Burnley singing about promotion yesterday. I think we were several games into being top before we sang about being top… we didn’t seem as excited about being top

Burnley seemed to be quite a sly side, getting away with a few cynical ones. The ref was shite for both sides but seemed angry with our players for some reason.

We got bookings for every foul and they didn’t for similar offences. The frustration when Davies was fouled as he was getting hacked at. This happened twice, he managed to carry the ball still, yet the ref stopped play rather than give the advantage.

Seemed like there was 2-3 fouls in their half before they broke for the freekick which they scored from.

Didn’t seem much between the sides, we needed the pace and clinical finishing of Campbell rather than Moore, Brewster was playing the balls but he just couldn’t get onto them. Probably needed Oné up top instead to play off the shoulder

Ref didn't seem to like us

Burnley are very organised, physically strong and give nothing away. But I’m not ready to declare them champions elect just yet. It’s hard to judge a team as an attacking force when they score with their one threat of the first half, then bag a lucky deflection to kill a nascent comeback.

It could well be indicative of an extremely formidable side. But our own lack of depth (and injury crisis), is a far bigger concern to me.

Cheers Panchero!

Yeah he was very angry with us. Not sure why. Has he reffed us before?
Saw someone say that was the 9th Burnley game he's reffed this season? Not sure if that's true, but if so you can imagine he was probably round one of their houses for Christmas dinner 24 hours prior.

Please tell me you're not talking about Hamer's clearly and purposely reckless challenge?
From the kop it looked like he slid across the front of the player to block the ball, and did so. Throw in to Burnley. Didnt look a foul let alone a booking from my view.

Not seen a clip of it, but happy to be corrected.

Definite yellow card. Reckless tackle. The ball kind of hit him but you can't challenge like that nowadays.

Thought Burnley were solid, boring, and offered no threat... and we basically gifted the first goal to them.

Their midfielder should have got a 2nd booking before the 1st goal, meaning 10 men. That changes the game.

2nd goal comes from the ref not giving a free kick to us for exactly the same challenge that got them the free kick at the opposite end.

After the 2nd, we were never going to get back into it.

Also... anel coming on at RB when 2-0 down isnt the answer at all.

It just goes to show what a different angle can say about something at the game, Hamer clearly took the ball in the incident mentioned from my view and the player milked it off the pitch yet was allowed back on straight away for some strange reason.

I mean, I watched it on Sky with several slow motion replays! Believe me, it's a booking all day long and he knew it before he made the tackle.

Yeah, I’m not disagreeing rob666, I was just pointing out how different it can look at the game when seeing it live. The bloke shouldn’t have been allowed to come straight back on though or has that rule changed again?

Without sounding like I’m doffing my cap….Burnley deserved it today. Much more controlled and assured in and out of possession. Hard one to take but we didn’t lay a glove on them. Souttar is a couple of months by the looks of him hobbling off.

Up to their goal we were the better team (without looking threatening), they hardly had an attack in that 1st half
and were clearly hoping to take it to 0-0 at half time however once they scored with a breakaway attack
then the game was virtually over because we really struggled to create chances all game.

Basically they did to us what we've been doing to loads of teams this season.
Burnley didn't exactly look that good but they were very efficient and quite comfortable really.....well played Clarets and we move on.

Well fair comments on the whole it’s one game and we move on. Have to mention the ref…He was shite

Thanks Roy

Burnley held us at arms length for much of the game and we did not look like scoring from open play. It was poor defending for the first and big deflection for the second .Not that much between both sides really

Burnley fans getting lifetime bans for going on the pitch. Brilliant news, shame Forest got away with their thuggish fans doing the same when a player got actually assaulted.

A life sentence is harsh if it was just for running on. Perfectly fine if he was one of the guys getting into player’s faces. Too soft if he is found to have filmed himself on the mobile while on the pitch… 😜😇😈

Would be interesting to see the back story, if he’s one of the bellends confronting players or goading Blades fans then fair play

But if he’s just gone onto pitch celebrating, a lifetime ban seems harsh, maybe some sort of community project work or 12 month ban

Know it’s not great going onto the pitch, but if all he’s done is jump up and down a bit and took a selfie seems overkill

There must have been over 1000 that day, all lifetime bans?!

Why've they blocked the Burnley address out, but not their own? 😂

Fans know that running on the pitch is a criminal offence, they were warned in social media etc
