Cheers Roy appreciated as always:)

It's also particularly nice for a set of fans to just accept that they were beaten by a better team on the day. There's no slagging off of their players, no big moans about the manager or the game in general, there's just a general consensus that they've watched a team that's top of the league for a reason. I would be really pleased if they were also to go up as they have a great fan base with proper fans, great comments;) UTB

Whoever pitched up today were lambs to the slaughter; I wish it hadn't been Bradford.

They turned up in good numbers, showed a bit of class and respect for what we've achieved, have good guys in the dugouts and some banter without it boiling over from the terraces....and then without really doing much wrong on the pitch, they got a comprehensive beating. If they don't sneak past Bolton, I will genuinely be cheering them on through the playoffs.

People are people so why should it be that you and I should get along so awfully (well).

Before, during and after the match, online and in the real world, the Bradford fans been really quite decent. Much in the same way as the Spurs fans were. I shall follow their fortunes with a bit more interest as a consequence.

Oooooooh they slated the atmosphere. Must be a pig! Jesus wept. It WAS dire.

No idea what he is but if he thinks the football was dire today I'd hazard a guess he's a Barca fan.

After 6 years at this level I can confidently say that we play more football than any team I've seen in that time, and in fairness to Bradford they tried to kept it on the deck too.

The cricket version would be something like

I hope Strauss tells Yorkshire to rest (delete as appropriate) Root, Bairstow, Wiley, Rshid, Willey, Coad, Lees, Lyth, Balance. Also ACB recall Handscomb.
I wish we had an academy as good as theirs.

Thanks again Roy. I've really enjoyed these threads and appreciate the time you take to do them, even if they are a day late sometimes ;)

Gained a lot of respect for Bradford today. They clapped us onto the pitch during the guard of honour, applauded the Under 18s and some stayed behind to applaud the lap of honour. A real shame that some of our pitch invaders decided to goad them and show zero class.

Do you think the football was dire? Or that anyone can seriously believe the football was dire?

Of course not. The football was outstanding. Unlike the atmosphere. Not being funny but it helps if you really read what people post.

Funny. Saw a floater in the crapper at the match today.
Thought it was you.

Genius

I read what he put. In his post , he quoted a 'Bradford fan' who claimed the football was dire. Several people called this Bradford fan out as a pig. The poster on here criticised this assertion, focusing on the atmosphere comment, ignoring the bit about dire football. My question is, can anyone but a Wednesday fan seriously claim that football was dire?

Happy to clear that up.

Just watched the game back on Sky and really thought the atmosphere was quite decent. Seemed that there were far more songs and chants than from being there live.
Think it might be a tad louder at MK though :p

Thought I'd have a quick look at the Oxford forum to see if any of their fans commented on the manner of the victory in the Bradford game.

Since we left them last, they are now convinced that Knill is the real reason for Wilder's success. After a series of glowing appreciative posts for Knill, we have someone that posts a few days ago:
"Can we start a petition for Knill for England manager/Prime minister/God?"

This has been followed by a couple of posts today:
"Sheff Utd playing Bradford off the park at the moment. Bradford struggling with the Blades quality and losing 2-0."

"Alan Knill has them bang up for it today."

Accept what you say mate. Didn't/haven't watched it on tv,just at the game. Don't think Bradford would give it "Champions and you still don't sing" if it was all that. Thing is,saying the vocal support and noise was flat and less than impressive appears to be akin to telling someone you've spit roasted their bird with a deformed dwarf as opposed to suggesting the team should have been swept along on a tide of vocal support. Everyone posts about how amazing we are and how we must enjoy/live the moment. I always believed shouting and singing yourself hoarse was how fans showed the team their love and support, not sitting with arms folded like some sad cunt in a bedsit watching a wank movie.

Not sure you have given no-one on here suggested the football was anything but sublime making it unecessary to mention that aspect of the post at all.
Either way.
Great football.
Not the best I've heard from the stands by a very long country mile.

Think it was the first half near silence of about 15 mins that felt weird. It was as though we were still waiting for summat negative to happen. After that it was a lot better.
Guess this being entertained every week is summat we need to get used to eh?

I honestly thought you were joking but no

The denial of how they totally fucked up by losing Wilder shows no sign of ending

If you read what I put it quite clearly mentions atmosphere.

My point is people are not crying 'pig' because he mentioned the atmosphere, as you claim, but because he called that masterclass of football 'dire'.

You missed it mate, read the thread I started on homepage.
