Cheers Roy! Not sure if I'm thirdish or not,but I'm in the top ten. Excellent!
Fair enough comments there and much more balanced than mine stating we'd romp this one.
I'm a fucking idiot.
Still, now they can concentrate on the real world and facing the bleak prospect that they live in Middlesbrough.

A tune from my Number 1 Album in the recent thread.
Good read & a great song.

“Also made the least noise of any away fans I’ve heard all season.”

Says it all about the performance

We were very uninspiring. Never felt like we were going to score, some games are just like that.

“I was quite happy most of the time with Sheff Utd in possession and i think our players were. When they lost it we were quick to break and they were slack off the ball at times.”

Said this for a few games now. We amble up the pitch like Capt Tom wandering round his garden, then as soon as the opposition get the ball, it's like the charge of the light brigade towards our goal. How come you never see us breaking with pace? It's not cos we don't have any, with IN and MGW in the side. Osborn is no slouch either.

t needs to be worked on

Agree its because they still are in the mind set of the old way of playing, at the moment its like a hybrid of what Slav wants combined with last seasons effort. Like I saw last night the shot of Slav near the end hanging his head down letting out a bit sigh. I only hope thats not his Wilder moment "I cant take much more of this f&&& S&&&t!"

Thanks Roy.

This is causing what I'm calling the Baldock Delusion.

Getting 7 and 8 out of 10 most weeks simply for seeing lots of the ball as a result of not being dangerous, and therefore left unmarked. Runs about a bit, looks busy. That's enough to pull the wool over.

It was clear that Derby were happy for him to have it as there's no evidence he's likely to do anything with it.

So true, I rate Baldock but he's driving me mad at the moment with his lack of belief. He has the ability and pace to go past players down the right hand side and cause big problems for the opposition. His first thought however is to just check back and play an easy ball inside to let someone else have the responsibility to do something progressive. Its not just this season either before someone says its down to tactics and being a right back now not a right wing back. Any normal thinking fan isn't going to give you shit George if you lose it in an attacking area trying to cause an overload or take a defender on, just go for it man!

there was times when Sheff utd had the majority of possession and cut us open easily (mainly down our right hand side)
This is true, but somehow I feel like we had two seperate wings which both had 3-5 players passing the ball around, but there was real link missing to create good scoring change or connect to middle / the other side.

How bad must they have been this season to be happy with that performance don't think they realise just how much of an easy touch we are to teams that press

Fair comments from them - though I expected the joker who had said pre-match that we'd probably be looking to bully them to say, "I FOOLED YER; I FOOLED YER!"
