He was window cleaningWhere was the foul on the keeper for the third???!?!
Honestly
Keith Lard
im a sheep man my self but i draw the line when it comes to tongues .Ridiculous thing to say.
Prefer cats myself
Whilst I would rather keeper weren`t quite as protected as they are in the modern game - given how this stuff is normally reffed I was surprised the foul wasn`t given. Anel's arm impeded the keeper from getting to the ball (in a natural jumping for the ball sort of way)..Foul on the keeper. What a fucking dildo!

Try putting this on a T shirt?Fk me, I’m a “dog botherer”![]()
While the above may have some merit with the standard of referees in the Championship, fact remains that JLT did have hold of the guy's shirt. He was seen, and the ref didn't see the fact that it was a bit handbags and six-of-one... they even mentioned on Sky that it was harsh and the ref obviously hadn't seen the reciprocation. If all he can see is JLT with two fistfulls of shirt, then it's a penalty. Surefire way to not get penalised as such is to NOT GRAB HOLD OF SHIRTS, and JLT is old enough to have learned that by now.If JLT hadn't pulled the boro's player's shirt, Boro would still have got a penalty. Robinson would have been judged to have damaged the Boro player's cuticle with the stitching on his collar. This is Matt Donohue we're talking about.
Cheers Roy.
Didn't think it was a foul. Keeper should have had that all day long given he had the space to run up, and could have got his arms in the air to catch or punch. He mistimed it and ended up trying to jump under Anel... and yes, we got a tiny bit of balancing fortune for the iffy penalty in that i don't think for a moment Anel headed that in the way he meant to. Seemed to come off his shoulder / side of his face at a lucky angle to just drop in.Whilst I would rather keeper weren`t quite as protected as they are in the modern game - given how this stuff is normally reffed I was surprised the foul wasn`t given. 9/10 times that's given as a foul to the keeper. Still it probably balanced out the 50/50 penalty call so...
Agree with most of that, but have you not seen the replay of Anel's header? Nothing fortunate about it at all. While the above may have some merit with the standard of referees in the Championship, fact remains that JLT did have hold of the guy's shirt. A win is a win though, and we certainly deserved it overall as they offered absolutely fuck all except for 5 mins at the end of each half.
Yeah, saw a couple of the replays. Still looked to me like it was more shoulder than head, but maybe i'm being overly harsh.Agree with most of that, but have you not seen the replay of Anel's header? Nothing fortunate about it at all.![]()
The keeper clattering into you will probably put you off a bit - credit to him for still making contact and guiding it goalwards.i don't think for a moment Anel headed that in the way he meant to.
Nope, top of his nogginSeemed to come off his shoulder / side of his face at a lucky angle to just drop in.
For all the pundits and experts who wrote Wilder off based on his stints at Boro and Watford, they need to look at the fortunes of those that came after at both clubs. His time at both was nowhere near the disaster it’s made out to be, but it’s just easy lazy labeling.Thank you, Roygbiv
Fair summary from them tbf, I didn't realise Carrick was under threat, just shows how hard it is to get out of this league without the PL money. Very few managers are given sufficient time, so the cycle starts again. Clearly, they don't like Wilder, but arguably they would be no worse off now, if they had stuck with him.
Carrick did well initially, but it's a hard gig in the championship when it's your first job. Not a fan of Parker, or Farke, but they are proven promotion winners, the new generation of Warnocks.
Clubs that are either in a bad period ('Boro) or have bat-shit crazy Chairmen (Watford) bring in someone with a proven record of success, but because that person then has to spend so long sorting out the internal nonsense and schizophrenia and results don't instantly turn around.... as you say. Easy labelling and easy scapegoating. For all the pundits and experts who wrote Wilder off based on his stints at Boro and Watford, they need to look at the fortunes of those that came after at both clubs. It sounded very load on TV - especially the roar at BBD's goal.“How bad are the Sheff Utd fans? Their team are dominant and still not a peep from them.”
True The Lane has been like a morgue recently but last night was the best atmosphere for ages. Loud chants from all sections of the crowd, even the family stand was loud.
BDTBL is always at its best when there has been a few contentious incidents that get folk riled up and the officials being absolute dog shit last night certainly helped.
Really pees me off when they apologise for bad language. It sounded very load on TV - especially the roar at BBD's goal.
Of particular fun was Wilders expletive laden rant about some decision or other (not the penalty) that had to be then apologised for by the commentator![]()
