Roy's View From... View From Bolton

They seem to remember how dominant they were in the 2nd half, but conveniently forget the first half when we should have been out of sight by half time 🤔

At the end of the day, a game of football is won by outscoring the opposition team.

The team that deserves to win, is the team that scores more goals.

I am not saying that Bolton were not good, in the second half, they had a couple of players that I think will end up in better teams, but if you don't take your chances, then having the most possession, the most shots, most shots on target, count for nothing, if the other team counter the ball up field and slot in the winner.

At last, someone with the same view as me.

If we get battered for 45 minutes but the opposition don't score, and we get the winner in the last minute. the opposition have had numerous chances and not taken them, we have had one chance and scored so we are the better team and fully deserve to win.

This and the Cardiff game had a six pointer at the wrong end of the division feel. Blades look ramshackle with a leaky bucket defence. This season will be an almighty struggle I fear so I will celebrate the 3 points - it might be rare this season. Bracing myself for another fire sale this January.

Love that we're back in the territory of upsetting other teams with our 'luck'.

Reminds me of two years ago when we were consistently the worst teams they'd played!!

Teams saying we are terrible and still picking up points every week - gotta love Wilderball.

I have always been surprised by the comments "Keeper kept us in it" - well so does good defending, and so does the midfield if it doesn't give the ball away again and again. So does having a young lad scoring a great last minute goal.

Having one of the best GK in the league is what we paid for and is part of our team, saying we are a bad team and forgetting how good the GK seems kinda ironic.

Scoreline couldve been anything tbh. Either team will feel they should have been out of sight at some point in the match. Undid themselves through their own naivety (plus Cooper having an absolute worldie of a second half).
