I think they have every right to be unhappy. We did not deserve to win that game but the best two players on the pitch were Coops, who was outstanding, and Donovan, who looks a really good talent and I love the way he fights for everything. Looking at you Tom Cannon.

In the second half they certainly edged it and looked most likely to score towards the end. They were moving the ball faster, nice passing and yes Cooper more than made up for a frankly shocking defensive performance from us.

But they didn’t get that winner, they couldn’t hold a lead for more than a couple of mins and despite some of their antics rolling around, the ref didn’t buy all of their tactics.

I can pretty much guarantee though, we won’t play as badly as we did for much of that game and I don’t think we’ll face a worse side. We were bad but they were worse.

In the end due to the moment of brilliance from Donovan after brilliant vision and the ball from Phillips after winning it back, we came good

They may have " played us off tge Park 2nd half" but they defend like a league one team.

Good result and we deserve it, scoreline simply says 3-2.

Game of two halves and we won their strongest half 2-1.

They have every right to be upset. They were the better team 2nd half thanks to Wilders “like for like” substitutions! We had totally lost the midfield battle again and were it not for Cooper they’d have got their reward!
We need Phillips up to speed asap! We need to play 3x in midfield!
On the bright side… Donovan looked really good again! He’s really impressed in both the Blackburn game and last night. I think he’s going to have a really good season with us!

Bolton weren’t great. We dominated them in the first half and really it should’ve been 3-1 at half time. Second half they were the better side, and they can count themselves unlucky to lose, but they didn’t deserve to win it either. Cardiff played us off the park, these didn’t.

They didn’t batter us - they had the better of the 2nd half but we had the better of the 1st.
Good turnout from them though I thought & they’ll have sobbed big salty tears all the way home. To Bolton - as if things couldn’t get worse.
