I really hope they find a way out of their mess. I read something about a fan who'd been a ST holder for ~50 years. Imagine something you've given your life to being ruined by what looks an awful lot like greed, corruption, and exploitation - and indifference from the authorities (fit and proper anyone?).

its clear where the fans thoughts are
they are being shafted royally and cant concentrate on any games

they cant have any fun at all ,not through losing but having no hope for the short term future which is a decline of rapid proportions

So what was wrong with our first goal? Are set-ball routines worked out on the training pitch not allowed these days? Is there allowance for the goalkeeper being shit and letting the ball squeeze under him?

I have been as critical of McCabe as anyone but the you look at what's happened to Blackpool and you realise it could be much much worse.

McCabe pulled us out of the abyss . The Oysten fella is a throw back , to certain previous chairman we have had in the past . Thankfully we survived , could be by luck more than good judgement . In the past for us , but for Blackpool its there future .

McDonald argued that there should have been a free kick to Blackpool prior to the first goal. Unfortunately wasn't there today so cannot comment on the validity of this, but the View from Blackpool suggests that not even his own fans agree with him.

We are a division lower now than when he took over, LBOE. That's some "abyss".

Basham does make a pretty blatant block on their player to be fair to stop him tracking Sharp, but it's pretty rare things like that actually get picked up by the officials.

They never looked like winning the game. Yes we were distinctly average today shit for the first half, stepped up for 15 mins in the 2nd, scored two, and then controlled the posession and killed the game.
Seriously uninspiring game but we never looked like losing it.

What amazes me is they travel to watch and support their team but are obsessed with singing perhaps 90% anti oyston garbage and the rest singing how shit they are. That must really inspire their players!
I feel sorry for their fans but come on, try to support your team when they are on the pitch for gods sake! Yes they are crap but telling them so at every opportunity won't make them better or encourage them to try harder.
If I was a Blackpool player and had to listen to that I would think sod 'em I'm only here for a wage then.
All that said, I hope they make it through the tough times, maybe non league football will scare the owner off and then they could bounce back with their fan base.

UTB ☺

Our fans were largely silent, as usual. Why not make yourselves heard, other than moaning, and encourage our team?

Sorry if that's controversial. I realise it goes against the grain...

I think this most games...

It's no coincidence most of these view from mention how quiet we are...

The away end doesnt generate an atmosphere like it would in the championship or premiership , I don't think 50 Yeovil fans in a massive stand is going to generate a cracking atmosphere .utd need the banter from the away fans to get going.

One of our players blocked one of their players as he was going for the ball

"Sheffield United were there for the taking"

22 winless games with team they've practically had to drag off the street to make up the numbers.......and we were "there for the taking"?

That's fucking SWFC-scale delusion right there.
Ignore the 3 winning streak they are on, this team is for the taking lads!!!

To be honest Tyler, I think they were referring to the first 60 minutes where we were distinctly average. They battled hard, were well organised and weren't as shit as a lot of us had been led to believe. I felt that had they taken the lead we might have struggled to get back in it, on the other hand I also felt that if we had taken the lead, we would up the tempo, which fortunately is what happened.

I prefer the away fans on the lower tier - much better atmosphere.

Good post, I can understand their frustration, but they've made their point, now try getting behind your team lads.

Which is precisely why it was a well executed free kick routine worked on during training. Well done the lads and the coaching staff. More of that subtlety please!
