I think the penalty claim was one of them were VAR would have stuck with the on field decision regardless so if ref gave a pen VAR wouldn’t have overruled (there was minimal contact) fortunately for us the ref was Mike Dean who I think is an excellent official and he got the decision spot on, as the Arsenal lad knocked the ball past our player, realised he had no where to go and was on his way down whilst trailing his leg looking for contact.

I just don’t think VAR is well explained and they obviously don’t understand it.

This is one where whatever decision for the penalty shout had been made, VAR wouldn’t have overruled it. It’s there for the clear and obvious and VaR can’t do anything about those.

That said, we probably got away with one. I wouldn’t have given it but I think it’s more likely to be given than not in today’s top flight.
