Fair play to em it was their big day out & they came and had a go I was talking to some of em before game .. good lads wish all the best for the rest of the season
 

Verrips must be 6ft 6+

Got me thinking, if we could find some fella who was 24ft tall and 8ft wide (fat) then they could just lie down in goal and we would never lose a game?

Full marks to them they came and made a good effort to go for the win.
Many clubs have come to The Lane and just parked the bus for 90 minutes!
Not AFC Fylde! Glad they managed a goal for their fans!

Thought they were up for it, sat back at first and used the quick lad on the counter attack. Second half they came and gave us a game, even if we were not fully at it. They looked decent at times, just missing some quality in the final third, same could be said about us!

I thought only a few of our players wanted to prove they want to be pushing for the first team or the bench in the coming weeks, wouldn't be surprised if Besic loan turned into loan to buy (does that then mean we can bring another loan in?). He's looking better and fitter every game and can slot in to the team, work rate is there too
 
For our reserves to beat a team on a par with Chesterfield with reasonable ease without busting any guts speaks volumes for:

(a) How far we've come since we last played "Tarn", or
(b) How far "Tarn" have fallen, or
(c) Both (a) and (b)

I'd like to lean towards (c)
 
AFC FYLDE fan here, well actually I am their photographer, and have to say what a great club and friendly you all were, from the moment we arrived I can't say enough about the kind and courteous way everyone I met behaved. I'm pleased we gave a good show, and would like to say thankyou to one and all, even down to Blades fans showing their appreciation to both the Fylde team and our noisy fans after the final whistle.

You should all be proud of yourselves "A Proper Club" All the best for the rest of the season, and hoping you progress well in the next rounds of the FA Cup.

The new season started with a win and then spiraled into losses, eventually Dave Challinor was sacked, now Jim Bentley has taken over, he's working his magic on Chally's team, but he needs to bring in a few fresh faces, making it his team, as for additions an out and out striker, top class midfielder, I think our defence should see us ok for the season just not finishing with enough in the final third.
