Like other sorts, namely Tennis & cricket why don't the powers that be allow each team 3 reviews each for moments of controversy? Was it offside or not - review, was the foul in the box or just out - review, did he dive or not - review.

As with other sports the replays would take seconds to clear up contested incidents. Football refs & lino's get a heck of a lot of decisions wrong and in today's game with the financial stakes so high we should give each side a chance to review moments of doubt.

As Sothall_Blade said in the other thread about the "goal", just review every single goal anyway. The ball is dead for at least 30 seconds so that should be enough time to look back over the footage to see if there's anything the referee missed. 99% of the time there won't be anything but they'd only need to look at one replay to realise that the offside decision yesterday was wrong, that won't hold up the game at all.

If the footage is controlled by sky then the replays and images will be edited or doctored anyway. Just like yesterday. Football is corrupt from top to bottom.

Magic hats right foot.
That's a split second after the ball was kicked.

Look at Basham? and the two players marking him tightly, the back one of the two has a leg roughly in line with JOCs' so it's still a wank decision, the attacking side are supposed to have the benefit of doubt if of course there is any and on this occasion there was plenty of doubt.

I called Darren Deadman a dodgy cunt who needed investigating and he no longer refs, I think this bloke needs investigating as there were one or two other decisions that were blatantly wrong from the Lino.

The weird thing about this case.

If video technology was used it would have still be disallowed for offside.

Even video technology can make mistakes when multiple angles are out of sync.

Give over, you could use a TESCO budget cam from the edge of the solar system and still give that goal.

The linesman can't even see JOC. There's no way he can possibly give that as offside.
.....and this reason alone is why he needs investigating, no way could he be sure whose boot it was never mind who it was.

I think Boro would have requested a review of the foul on O'Connell...

In Wilders interview he says the Ref now claims he gave it for a foul by O'Connell not offside.

Just read it was a foul by Basham. Clutching at straws, why don't they just say they fucked up.

The fact their player headed it in surely means the offside debate is irrelevant?
The defender has to head the ball otherwise JOC heads it, hence he's certainly interfering with play.

Basham! The Lino flagged for offside and said 'Number five', that is indisputable, if they say otherwise they're just digging a deeper hole for themselves.

Sadly the whole game is geared up to protect the reputation of everyone involved and such is their arrogance, they will rarely hold their hands up to admit any error of judgement. I doubt lying is beneath them.

Isn't this the same ref that ran the line against Walsall in the cup, when otzumer scored the opening goal, that could possibly have been offside. Just saying.
