has mcmahon been taking free kicks all season or just since crawley? he's becoming a bit of a legend at it

Look forward to the videos you really capture the moment keep them coming!

Good vids. Thanks. Cracking free kick. Doyle was offside, when the free kick was taken but apparently not interfering. He did not touch the ball nor touch anyone. However he was right in the thick of it. This is the problem with subjective rules. Perhaps a little fortunate the goal stood. None of their players appealed which is interesting.

Thats a great point actually, the difference between the top players and lower is not just skill ,but speed of thought and gamesmanship. Man Utd ,City ,Chelsea would have had their hands in the air ,chased the referee ,berated the lino ,even if it was legitimate ,which begs the question ,does it come naturally or are they coached with it ?

We're all getting used to the new offside. I hated it at first, my stance was offside is offside and if in the words of Clough 'if he's not interfering, why is he on the pitch?'

Got to say that the more I see cases like this the more I agree with what FIFA [or EUFA?] have tried to do.

Also hats off to any liner who gets it right; is he interfering, is he active? All to be taken into account in about 1sec.

Agree with most of that. However I am not sure this lino calling it 'right', was down to his competence. Being in line with him all afternoon he consistently failed to pick up countless offsides. This went in favour of both teams, except we scored from one of these occassions (though by the letter of the law perhaps it should have stood).

Thats a good point and a big part of whats spolling football. The Prem is one place I'm not bothered about seeing The Blades in, give me top 10 championship every time.

I'm amazed how much R5 have spoken about the Suarez goal. I think the Mansfield manager called it right.
Forget it and move on, don't bore the arse off us all.

i don't think he expected it to be given you know.. i think he was annoyed that he'd handballed it and that is why he smashes it into the goal
