Very, very liquid football…

The goal actually came from a pre planned set piece. Tried it in the first half when Norwood over hit it nearly to the other corner flag.

Not sure the bit after that was worked on but who cares 🤣

Funny bit is I watched it in the screen. We sit near it on John St.

About 4 of us looked at each other and said "that never went in"

🤣🤣🤣

What we are doing well is clocking up shots at goal.
People see us miss an effort and discount it and assume we are being poor. But we clocked up 17 attempts.
Boro had only 12 at West brom despite 70 per cent possesion.
We regularly out attack other sides.. but a lot of our fans unless we score don't count our attempts as worthy but obviously make more chances you win more games

Goals matter, I’d rather us have 1 shot on target every game for the rest of the season and win each game 1 nil than have 17 shots and lose 3-1.

We scored yesterday without even shooting on target, stats only tell part of the story.

Unfortunately we need to start scoring again though.
Weve got some big games coming up, and could really do with Ndiaye and Mcburnie finding their scoring boots again.

O

but no team that only has 1 shot wins a lot of games
we create chances ,,,, yes we miss some but so do man city and real madrid
what we do well is give ourselves a better chance of winning by actually being pro active

I never felt we were in danger of not winning yesterday as we stopped Watford from having scoring opportunities
we have clean sheets as we are good at denying opposition in most games,, not all , no one can do that

Agreed that we generally create 2 or 3 ‘good’ chances per game. It was probably only 1 yesterday with the Berge chance and I do kind of get your point that if we shoot more we might score more.

But the biggest and most important thing is to create high quality chances/shots. A handful of those is a lot better than a high frequency approach to just shooting from anywhere. Stats can be misleading.

well we had 4 shots on target according to bbc which against good opposition is par for the course they had 2
burnley had 12 v a very poor huddersfield team but then resding with 5 v erratic blackpool was the next best

if we played in the US of A we would be lauded more on our stats alone

I think the key to our success is being as liquid as r' Dozy...
...not very.
We need to be tight bastards...
Pay rent?
No chance.
We're giving fuck all out from here on in.

Let's get back to basics, hold our shape, be hard to beat and find a goal at the other end.
Shithousing 1-0s is in our DNA.

Fleck made a great impact. Baldock will too.
We need our scrappers in there now to dig out results.
Relentless efficiency is how we demoralise the chasing pack and end the contest.
