I'm intrigued ... what position?Interesting story about the 60s, enjoyed the blog, but, as ever, disagree with your position on tickets and systems for fair distribution.
Been done to death though so I'll just concur about my love for Reedy and we can move on.
That blagging tickets is fair play.I'm intrigued ... what position?
OK. Understood. And take your point that it's done to death. Move on.That blagging tickets is fair play.
Can I not move on...That blagging tickets is fair play.
I think your blog makes the point (that blagging and DUFs like me were about then) well and I'm definitely not going to challenge it as I wasn't yet born. Can I not move on...
As I've written, I couldn't work out what was real in the 1969 Mansfield Ticket story. But, one recollection is that people were asking others on The Shoreham "does anyone not want their voucher? I'll have it." I even recall people "selling winning vouchers".
Point being - there was even Blagging then.
I'm still amazed that my mate Steve actually went down for a ticket. I asked him yesterday...
"Don't work it out logically. Don't work it out from the date. Do you honestly and actually remember where you had to go to buy the tickets. In particular can you recall it as The Cricket Pavilion."
He couldn't remember...
