Watching game on sky just wanted to say that the backing the fans gave the players at villa park tonight I thought was absolutely fantastic and a cedit to the club, made loads of noise and it was that loud I found myself singing along with you all, fantastic support as always and we'll be there with you on new years day at Derby.

Bang right corky, did chatroom this teatime , had to use bbc west mids commentary .on the towd rad for that as i am down that way at the mo and they did themselves bloody proud, could hear em loud and as you say proud esp when we equalised .

:)

Villa fans pretty poor too. Ridiculous the booing for a few passes backwards.

I've read on here that our fans are really bad and some of the worst for getting on player's backs so imagine my surprise to see that from Villa today

Good to know.
Was in a pub where background noise too high to get the atmos.

Pleased with the display after the first 9
Lundstrsm was very good - as was The Don

Yep found myself singing along with the house full of family.
"At the Lane at the Lane and we're all Fucking Wankers at the Lane".

Good effort from our fans today. Far more up for it than they were for the Preston game - even when 2-0 down. That's what it should be like every week.

Yes I agree Ricky,we went to Preston last week and it seemed a better atmosphere tonight watching/listening to it on sky than it was last week at Preston, hopefully over the Xmas period we the fans can help the boys on the pitch and get back on track and get the results we want,up the blades and sing up shoreham.

That was mainly us to be fair ,we just thought we'd show a bit of solidarity and join in :)

You’re welcome.

Thought Villa fans were crap, was expecting a loud Holte end but even for their goals they didn’t seem that loud. Weird

Agree on our fans, loud GCB’s and a few other chants.

Lovely ground, not quite as symmetrical as I expected but looks great, even with empty seats. Pies on the Holte end must be good, the stand emptied way before half time

Great day ,great ground ,decent fans ,beaut burger ,only bad thing was being sat directly in front of Ian Taylor ,I presume he was co commentating ? Why Ian fucking grunter Taylor ?
And how bad was that tracksuit from Matalan ?

Villa fans were quiet, even considering their relative fall from grace.

Nothing started from the Holte End, which is disappointing for them, and a waste. It's a superb stand, would be even better if it was single tiered. But their only remotely vocal area was the group stood near the away fans. It sums up where we are in this country when it comes to support/atmosphere.

Some of the Villa fans were applauding our support too btw, which is always good to see.

They were really disappointing. Only 35,000 there as it looks a much bigger ground. Just shows how compact the lane is!

Have any of our “ #sheffield United fans are a disgrace “ kicked Tiny Tim’s crutch away or mugged any of the three wise men for their gold, frankincense and myrrh?

I left an empty plastic pint pot on a wall and spent most of the time shouting nasty words at the linesman. #badman

UTD FANS = WANKERS, or that's what I've heard anyway...........:D

I can't stand that piggy-tuned song.
Surely I'm not alone in this.

Me too. I find it embarrassing, we slagged Wednesday for singing the bounce song coz it repetitively used the F word, not clever in front of the kids some said, but we now sing a song with two expletives and think it's hilarious.

We sing it as a piss take

Villa will see the Championship a bit like we did League One - they shouldn't be here etc. And they're right but that can create a negative atmosphere for the players. Whereas at the Lane, the atmosphere is positive and less pressure as new boys to the league even though as a club we are premier league size.

I'd never sing it, just reminds me of Wednesday fans and I don't think the irony stands, we just make ourselves sound like the song!

We were amazed how many at the Holte End disappeared 5 mins before the interval. The facilities must be awful.
We were at the back of the lower tier right in front of the sky studio. Ian Taylor was blowing kisses to Blades fans as Villa went 2 up but credit where due he carried on facing us and took the flack as we blew the kisses right back after Clayton second.

Loved the atmosphere yesterday. My lad has now told me it is one of his favourite grounds to go to now, and has already asked if he can go to Villa Park again next season.

My sisters husband is a Villa fan, and she is in Birmingham this Christmas, so for once the fixture list was brilliant to is, and we went to the match with my brother in law and his family, and had a superb day out to boot.

Villa Park is one of my favourites, a proper ground oozing character.
