I thought this this worked fantastically well for us 2nd half. Both of them caused their full backs problems at the later stages which in turn caused their back line to sit deeper and nullify Chelsea.

Could this be something we see again from the start of games? Every man and his dog at the moment seems to be analysing our overlapping CBs so I dont know if we can keep using them forever if people are wiser to it. If we switched to a sort of 3-4-3 with wider forwards pressing from the front and helping to overload the wider areas we would ease the burden on our CBs yet still give them some licence to bomb on in games where the opposition is poorer. We also have Morrison And Freeman who can work in that area and good central options in McGoldrick, Sharp and McBurnie who would benefit from the assistance.

I'm probably just talking bollocks but im just so happy with our 2nd half and the result today and i want us to continue surprising opposition like we have done.

Up The Mighty Fucking Blades and fuck Frank Lampard's Chelsea County!

I remember mentioning something like this before season started. 3-4-3 would cause teams reyt problems & it did against chelsea

After Osborn came on we switched to the 4-1-2-1-2 diamond.

I think we were great overall. I also think our "solid" and slightly cautious first halves have been a success. We've played four Premier League teams now and neither of them have managed to find much rhythm against us. I think this has been vital in us gradually taking over and dominating second halves. Maybe we'll be able to be more adventurous from the start, but I applaud our approach so far.

BTW, having mentioned Osborn, I'm a big fan. Very tenacious, clever, good technically and adds flexibility with his versatility. Looks a great signing.

Said a few times preseason the additions of Mousset, Robinson and even Ravel are to give us a 3 up top alternate option. Makes sense

Your second paragraph makes a great point. Our manager is not a one trick pony and neither is our team.

We weren't playing with 3 up to mcgoldrick was very deep but it something I've always wanted us to try
