No, Warnock relegated us.this might sound petty and i know he was only doing his job....but he relegated us. Off you go son!
I was tempted to say sling yer hook fatty, but Rhino actually has a bit of calibre. I'd much sooner have someone who played their entiree career in the top flight on the coaching staff than fans favourite Morgs. Not sure whether Unsworth would majke a good manager, but he had enough quality to know the game and coach well. he read the game well and made up for a lack of pace with good positioning. FA Cup winner and capped by England. He must have sumert to offer. Plus he can teach the young uns how to tek pens!

Hate to be pedantic....however, what division were we in when he played for us??
oh you mean the season when he dropped down to the Championship (after 14 years in the top flight) to get promoted with that team. Then, at 33, show that he still had what it takes.
played their entiree career in the top flight
So did Unsworth in that case.Warnock also got us promoted....
So did Unsworth in that case.
I think the manager might have had a bit more to do with that than the left back, but anyway.
Warnock did his best with what he had to work with at the time, we were up against it right from the word go, first game of that season, Liverpool at home and captain Gerard's dive in the box? If we had stayed up that season Warnock would have been hailed a hero, but it is a fine line between hero and villain, added to that was the West Ham situation and what have is what has always happened with London clubs and their FA side men? One rule for them and another (particularly smaller clubs in the North) for us.
