Sat at the Al Hilal v Al Duhail game. 5-0 at half time. We should seriously look at Michael, their Brazilian right winger. Tricky lad. 26 Yr old and menace.

They also have Moussa Marega, Odion Ighalo, and Salem AlDawsari (scored THAT goal v Argentina at the WC). All 4 of these lads would be good additions.

Not a chance any of these get a work permit.

The only one worth asking the question, Al-Dawsari, will be 32 on the eve of next season and flopped on his previous visit to Europe.

I hope it's a good game for you but let's safely assume, at 5-0 up at HT in a league not even in the 5th and bottom level of the work permit regulations, none of these lads are making their way over here soon.

Many other places for us to shop if we hold on and go up before turning to the middle east

There's Poundland, Aldi, Home Bargains, Lidl and loads of charity shops

Was an AFC Champions League game. Same team that beat Flamengo, and lost to Madrid 5-3.

Ighalo was at Watford and Man Utd not too long ago. Marega was at Porto.

Happy to be corrected that it was a continental competition, and that does count for something, but it still gets them anywhere near.

The new rules have been in place since January 1st 2021. Ighalo's time at Watford and Manchester United finished before then. Marega's spell at Porto might be relevant if he was moving from there to the UK, or he had already been here when the new rules came in, but that's not the case.

If any of them were playing pretty much 100% of their country's international games and /or their countries were moving up the rankings, PL clubs might have a conversation.

Marega and Ighalo both appear to have played their last games at international level. Michael will never play for Brazil. Al-Dawsari is a regular for the 49th ranked country.

I don't agree with it but the new rules were set up in such a way specifically to stop this type of migration.

Yet the big clubs can sign 15 Yr olds from Brazil... just plain weird.

They drive Aston's and Lambo's, we had players like that before........ leave them well alone!

Work permit? The lad will come over on an extended holiday and play for free. Surely with the cash in his bank now he’ll be able to prove that he’s got funds to pay for the duration of his stay and if he’s got a return ticket it shows he’s not looking to stay.

Get him in on a tourist visa and he’s golden

I mean, he  almost qualifies.

Only 63 points off!
