I ve been a big critic of Brewster. (3 goals in 50 appearances). But last night he showed glimpses of what maybe is to come.
That run. That pace. That composure to pass to khadra. Quality. Credit where it is due.

Thing we saw last night was Rhian is a huge talent to bring on when teams are pushing up and looking to go for a winner in the last minutes like Swansea were last night. He got through a couple of times as they were that far pushed up. Seems to suit our game as we can pick teams off now on the break, especially away from BDTBL

I hope I’m wrong & he comes back and get us a few goals, but he’ll be 37 in February & we need to be looking at Brewster / McBurnie & NDiaye as our long term.

The fact he’s consistently getting injuries at the moment is also possibly a sign of his body slowing down.

My worry with Sharp is I don’t think he’s the kind of guy to happily sit on the bench & encourage others/ not make a fuss. We saw how his missus went off a few years ago when he was dropped for a few games.

Horses for courses mate. Last night we may have benefited from having Sharp, that game could have afforded him some chances he would have took. But its all ifs and maybes and he didn't play so who cares.

McB has started to look like he might give a shit at the very last second and by the skin of his teeth he seems to be bringing round the fans to his favour but I imagine he's on a tight rope with many. One or two half arsed appearances will bring his work right to the beginning. This may start happening with Brewster. Just like McB and Mousset I feel there's a genuinely good player, you get glimpses like last night but if he doesn't start putting away more chances then the fans will likely turn on him.

No doubt he has to ability. Once he gets that league goal we may see a different man. Perhaps him and Khadra are forming a decent partnership

No changes for me at the moment, especially as we are about to go into a break.

Brewster, Khadra and McAtee are the impact subs for now, as they were last night. Their pace and trickery against tired defenders is a real weapon.

Although there are quite a few opinions, I think we can all agree, that whoever plays, we have a great bench and the ability to completely change the way we play. Hecky expected there to be pace behind their defence late on and brings on 3 players who are like lightning and can play quick passes.

Would also like to highlight Reda getting that cross in which could also have been a goal!

But that’s now, last yr Ndaiye couldn’t last an hour, Brewster ran around like someone playing blind football and McB looked like some tramp picked up off the street and given a game for a hot meal. So imo last year we needed BS’s 14 goals

those 3 seem to have benefited from a full preseason together and should keep him as 4th choice

With 5 from 7 subs it’s worth having him on the bench behind whoever of those 3 doesn’t start, he’s 37, but no Ronaldo - bench time Billy I’m afraid

The problem with Sharp is he keeps scoring goals. It’d so much easier to bench him if he stopped, but he won’t listen.

He’s kept himself in really good shape, never lost his hunger for the game and got results as well. I also blame Hecky for carrying on picking him when it keeps working out well. Does the man not know what’ll happen if he carries on?

Sharp 196 appearances 107 goals =0.54 ratio. Brewster 50 appearances 3 goals = 0.06 ratio.

Meaning, according to Fallowfield, Brewster is better than Sharp.

Perhaps its harder to grasp than he thinks.

I say they covered for any eventuality because the board seem to be 1 step ahead, not 1 step behind like the McCabe era. Also the fact we have Koné lined up suggests differently.
