Sky sports are showing each clubs greatest ever premier league game as voted by fans. Ours has been voted as the 1-0 win against arsenal in 06.

Nade with the turn and finish on Kolo. And then Jags to the rescue in the net.
Quality!!

Forest 1990 was pretty special. As was St Bobby's day.

I remember he scored a second that was offside or something. My dad (who knows nothing about football but was kind enough to take me when I was younger) was incensed and didn't understand why it hadn't been given.

Surprised the "vote" wasn't contrived to claim it as Brian Deane 2 - Man U 1 Opening goal for the exploitation league

Not the best, but a good one, beating Newcastle away, Danny Webber scored from a beautiful, inch perfect pass from the midfield mastro, the nations favourite, Mr TV himself, Nick "Monty" Montgomery.

Didn't we beat Newcastle away late in the other season we went down, with Nathan Blake scoring a couple? They would have been a top 4 team with Cole and Beardsley.

That Newcastle game was at home. We were good that day and looked as though we had assured our survival. Unfortunately the 13 year hitch struck again!

As far as greatest premier league games go, the 2-1 win at home to Tottenham in 2007 is worth a mention. Probably not the 'greatest', but never-the-less a very good performance. The unlikely heroes being Montgomery and Tonge. They completely dictated the midfield that day.

It certainly WAS NOT the 0-0 draw at home against Southampton the season we got relegated in the 90s.

Pinchy will be along in 5,4,.....

Opening day win over Man U
3-1 and 2-0 v the pork
6-0 v Spurs
2-1 win at Anfield.
3-2 win over the spammers after being 2-0 down.

Some great games that probably surpass the Arsenal one. Great day though that was.

That Newcastle game at home was great. All 4 sides of the ground celebrating at the end because a 2-0 win had us almost sage (yeah I know) but as Arsenal lost on the same day, Newcastle were going to pip them to a place in Europe.

i cant talk about any games in our 1st spell in the premier league because I was too young probably 3 when the dodgy relegation v chelsea happened in 1994

but im fine with the choice, dont mind admitting that i could & probally wouldve gone with Middlesbrough at home when we got our 1st premier league victory at end of sept & jags hammered home that 35yd out in stoppage time. but arsenal was the whole atmosphere of the game, we were big underdogs as they just been in a champions league final 7 months previous. like great atmosphere at brentford felt abit like a cup game. we had nade the only guy who managed to out muscle Kolo Toure & then curl it around lehmann from 25yds. then how we held on with jagielka pulling off some stunning saves. espically that 1 from van persie

Kinda Liverpool opening day for me. Amazing atmosphere and the euphoria when Hulse nodded home felt like I was being sucked off by 9 Swedish super models simultaneously.

Given what he said on the Mellor thread (about polar extremes), I fully expect him to continue with this new found ability to be moderate in his assessment of all things United, including his views on our ex players (and managers for that matter - after all Bassett and Warnock were both unarguably brilliant) and come to the only conclusion possible, viz on this occasion Montgomery and Tonge looked a class act, completely outplayed the Tottenham midfield and (first 15 minutes aside) pretty much ran the game! :D

They did. I think they were very much up for showing the Lord who was boss, if I'm thinking of the right match.
