Probably in the top ten best inventions, no fete, gala, event, show or function is complete without a decent beer tent. The gathering of like minded souls, fresh cut grass, warmer air, local daughters behind the rickety table serving as the bar, an enclosed sense of chummery amongst those present and most importantly proper beer.

Personal favourite was always Bakewell show, but Kent village fetes usually produce a good tent now I'm that much older (beer's still flat though!)
