I think I already posted the video link. I used to speak to John Tudor outside the players entrance in John Street after matches in 1970 and spoke to him when he returned to the Lane playing for Newcastle in April 1972. With my dad we met John and his wife before that game in August and we agreed to meet again after the match. I was so angry that John scored the winner and told my dad that I didnt want to see John after the game. My dad made me stick to the arrangements after trying to make me understand that Newcastle pay wages to John to score goals. On meeting John after the game my dad told John about my anger towards him. John laughed and told me that he hoped I would remain friends with him!

A few weeks ago I saw Stewart Barrowclough (a dynamic winger for Newcastle in the 1970s) as he is one of the Redfearns u15s coaches when my lad's team (Staveley MW u15s) played against them

my mum took me to that game as a small child.. for some unknown reason she decided that she fancied going on the bramall lane end for a change.. so i ended up on the wrong end with my red and white scarf.. good job i was only 8 but i got some weird looks
