It's a bit rich someone who doesn't live in the country telling people who've spent their hard-earned how they should be acting.
we dont want you to feel its arduous to get behind the team
if you feel your best way of supporting the team is being huber critical of everything , its your choice , I hate detest being in this league , but w have a chance to get out and I THINK ITS MY JOB AS A SUPPORTER TO LIFT THEM NOT SLAG THEM . I know in this age of social media players read everything we put on here and on twitter , if they read this its no wonder they dont feel confident, sevveral fans think they are utter shit useless and they believe it , so I go the other way and try and support them , if thats ok with you
The silence at some blades games shows how little we truly support our club , at times I feel let down by our fans who are so negative its translated into our spell here being extended as players pick up on vibes , us having big gates is working against us now due to the 25% of pure bile and negativity thats oozing off the terraces , thanks for that
criticism is a right , but weve turned it into something more tangible , thats dragging us down
I've spent fortunes following the Blades over the years you follow on Blades Player and you're telling me how to act

Yes, wer'e in the play off positions and have not played well - surely that must be a positive !
We are capable of better performances eg Southampton, Spurs, QPR so to be where we are with just nine games to go _ Everything to play for, yet, you Whingers and Whiners are not satisfied ! Yes we would all like to be where Bristol City are, but we are not so get over it Get behind the team and lets cheer them on to promotion !
Alternatively, if it offends you so much to see the Blades do us all a favour and stay at home and leave BDTBL to the true supporters !!!
I don't get your keyboard aggression but if that what you get of on sound.
Let's see how we go on tomorrow you never know we might be entertained at home for once this season in the league that is.

Football is not only an entertainment business its results that count and at present we are in a very good position to make the play offs - whilst we all like entertainment I for one would forego entertainment at this stage for a shot at getting into the Championship.
The reason for my 'keyboard aggression' as you put it is the total negativity of your posts !
I felt that it was a good three points on Saturday, we battled hard which is one quality that appears to have been lacking in many home games !
I am far from a 'Clapper' being critical when I feel that United have let me down - the job is difficult enough without our so called 'fans' jumping on the teams back constantly - Give a bit of slack and get behind the team - you never know they may give you something to cheer !!

True supporters??? Rah rah fucking rah. I'm 5000 miles away and that bullshit still makes me cringe.

The majority of us who don't live in the UK but follow the Blades would love to be at the Lane every week but it isn't possible. That doesn't mean that we haven't spent plenty of our hard earned cash in the past supporting the Blades, and for some of us the cost of a trip to Wembley or a trip for couple of home games can amount to almost as much as a season ticket. If we watch the games on Blades player we have just as much right to offer our opinion as regular attenders at the Lane.

We must be the only team vying for the play offs whose fans go at it with a can't do attitude its fucking unbelievable what a set of miserable down beat lose at any cost fans we have in our ranks

Do Barnsley fans dwell on their bad run?

Not now they're winning, they don't.

Will Rochdale be remembering us beating them and saying we are wasting our time?

Eh?

So why do we excel in being such miserable fuckers

Yes, we're such miserable fuckers that around 17k+ will turn up again tonight (as did almost 19k on Saturday). Can't match the crowds that the quoted Barnsley or Rochdale (or every other team in the division) get but, hey!, we're 'miserable fuckers'.

If the fans were so bad, we'd be getting 8-10k to reflect the downward spiral we've been on for six years now. Rather than writing us off as 'miserable fuckers', I'd suggest we're the most loyal, patient fans in football.

its not just about turning up though is it ,most people do give us great support.but theres a growing element that go just to be negative as its become routine, like people who hate their jobs turn up just to whinge. Its fine but some think they can be as negative as thhey like and no one notices outside these forums. Then they go to games saying Ill not moan till we arent 3-0 up now .thats fair as we are far far better than everyone else.so they start from a position that is a no win situation.Do we we as a club get things wrong .hell yes.but so does every other club.trouble is we have fans who dwell on errors .We still bring up losses from decades ago.Board decisions that went wrong 10 years ago are still crystal clear in some peoples minds.why ? Move on .lets back what we have in the here and now. Clough didnt appoint Robson .or invest in a chinese team or lose to Burnley . Why does this shit keep re surfacing now from some I just find it amazing how as a fan this is not consigned to history but they can forget us beating west ham saints 6 wins on the bounce.anything positive is wiped straight away

Morning, btl!

If you hate your job, you can always look for another one. Lifelong support for a football team is not that easy. The majority of fans do not keep turning up 'just to moan'. Rather, it's with a growing sense of ennui. I was there last Saturday, I'll be there tonight and at the Crewe game. But it's all a bit of a chore. As Bristol City keep proving, winning is a habit. But so is continually failing against small teams and playing utter garbage football.

And the 'board decisions that went wrong 10 years ago' are still being made. This new shirt (and that's the sole reason Phipps & co. went out of their way to glad-hand some supporters before the PV game, they knew the shit storm it would bring), the 'Jessica Ennis Stand, the mishandling of the Ched affair, the continual appointment of managers without a shred of previous achievement etc. etc. Those in charge have an unerring ability to shoot themselves (and United) in the foot. No, it's not Clough's fault, but it certainly ain't us poor, long-suffering fans who keep turning up who are to blame.

This Saturday at home to Crewe. 'Ticket prices are from £18.' For fucking Crewe. But there'll still be near-20k of us fools there. Do you pay £18 just to 'go and moan'?

Cup games aren't going to get us out of this shit hole of a league.
Just ask Bradford City.

.[/QUOTE]
Some do .

Bristol city are 18 months ahead of us in investment terms.they only started to function second half of last season but had their squad ready. The shirt is superb if you dont like it its a temporary style choice .I Hated somee other designs but its not a board driven wind up like some percieve it. Its a red and white shirt.

Why mention those matches and yet make no mention of the additional win against MK Dons?

I'd honestly forgotten it, I was thinking of the FA Cup only. But yes, only fair to include beating MK Dons away too.

That's it, one too many of this constant bollocks that I'm listening to now.

Give it a fucking rest. Our Fans Are Cunts. WE GET IT. We've had proper cunts telling us for weeks. I don't need to listen to it on EVERY fucking thread. I usually don't mind, I quite like watching people talking bollocks, I find it immensely amusing (pretty much as I actually enjoy the full gamut of fans I sit near at the Lane (Oh, they might be cunts but there's a laugh to be had out of it))

YES, we still bring up defeats from years ago EXACTLY THE FUCKING SAME as we bring up "a quality goal from a quality player" and hundreds of other memories GOOD AND BAD from watching the club for years on fucking end.
We don't all go running to our fucking comfort blanket when things go good or bad, we take it on board and bring it back as time permits. We still talk of dodging bottles in a Cardiff car park after scoring six at their place or Petr Katchouro claiming victory from defeat at Molineaux or even the day Forest fucked us over for 6 with Len Badger looking like a fish out of water in midfield.
Stuff happens and we remember it, and despite fucking idiots who can only see the sun even when it's pissing down we can remember it all and we might just keep telling it like it is. We play well, great let's celebrate, we play shit, YES we dare to say so and fuck those who can't recognise it.

As the team have performed over the last few weeks (not great despite what the fuck you seem to think) people are getting frustrated (we can play better), scared (we can lose good players if we stay down) and downright angry (it really isn't fun seeing a team trying not to lose rather than actually trying to win) and, consequently, (yes as a consequence of us not playing well NOT the idiots way round) things aren't as we would like, but this constant griping at other fans has got so fucking ridiculous it's made this place far less worthy of spending time. There really isn't the fun anymore.

Our Fans Are Cunts. Oh yes, but seemingly not the ones who keep being pointed out for me.

If you reckon I get off in slating what's going off at the Lane you're way off the mark.
You can feel the mood in the ground at the moment it's soulless I've never heard the Shoreham as quiet as it is now.
Can you honestly take any positives from this season.
I havent singled you or any one out as the cause, Im saying the general malaise of discontent is festering into a negative force thats keeping us down
If there a silence at games , people waiting for genius in league one , they are setting themselves up for a fall . We need to get out on graft , and pulling together , the players know the general jist of people who are negative about everything the club does, it transfers at speed these days , if Jim
Phipps is aware the players definitely are , to say fans being negative in here doesnt affect our team is at best naive.
Some of our fans are just so used to being downbeat its how they are now , We all feel defeats , but some cant let them go , we all know bad decisions have been made , but do they have to be catalogued and constantly raked over, and whipped up as club policy every time we lose -

why if the club brings out a shirt supporter dont like , just say not keen on that ,but no , its a conspiracy to rub the fans up at the Lane, the board taking the piss,,Ive never heard such utter bollocks, they asked Adidas to do a tribute shirt they designed this, I dare say they had little or no say in its design concept , if you dont like it dont buy it, thats the choice to make

Is there a fan Base In any English division that doesn't have a moan, answer no something will set of the fans be it on the pitch or from the club, going to happen no matter what, but we stay die hard fans

My only gripe is with the manager his formations, tactics , signings , motivation.
I personally have no problem with the board, kit , pitch , pies etc.
Sitting back on one goal leads is mind numbing.
You and Fiery can have a pop all you want your opinions I'll respect them
But I've got mine.

we have the best most loyal fans around who turn up in numbers despite not winning a sausage in our lifetimes , but our voices are magnified now with so

Not sure we sat back at bristol city, rochdale, at home v preston
not lost in last 6 away
lost 2 in last 10
but why dont we see it like that its only the negatives that are mentioned
preston went 3 defeats and 3 draws in january teams have bad runs
we just need to move on and start winning from here

even the day Forest fucked us over for 6 with Len Badger looking like a fish out of water in midfield.
.
Len Badger had already left us for Chesterfield some months before that Forest game in October 1976! I remember Badger playing some games in midfield during the 1972/73 season when the late Steve Goulding had a run of games at right back

Went to all them cup matches home and away but I'd sacrifice all that cup success to be in Bristols position

Doesn't alter the fact that most normal people would regard getting to a league cup semi final as somewhat positive.

Cup games aren't going to get us out of this shit hole of a league.

Bladepicker stated that we have a good record against better sides. You questioned that. I would say that our league and cup record demonstrate that we do in fact have a pretty good record against better sides.

At the moment we stand a better than average chance of getting into the playoffs. Like many other Blades I look forward to another playoff campaign about as much as a tonking off Wednesday. The side(s) we will face will be the better sides in this division. Our cup matches (and league matches) have at least shown that we are more than capable of beating them. Whether we will or not is another matter.................

We are in the midst of a rebuild .basically from scratch. There were always going to be bad days .days when we would look disorganised and clumsy .but theres been glimpses of getting it right throughout ,scattered among the learning curve. Hopefully its finally starting to look a bit more coherent.like the plan does have a defined structure. Just need a modicum of luck of the good sort for a change.
