When we lose our first game what are the rose tinted glasses wearers going to say:eek:

Mid table mediocracy and wilson hounded out before xmas forecast.

Apart from 30 seconds of the second half last night the entainment value last night was shite.

Since when did you go to BDTBL to be entertained

It is all very well wanting to sack the manager - but who would you bring in? Teams who go down this route without a plan B frequently go backwards further before they go forward.

Anyway, I doubt Wilson is going anywhere - the board have sold our better players, and we have had to replace them with youngsters, free transfers and loanees. Is that really his fault? How would you like to do your job if all your staff who helped you achieve results left for reasons beyond your control?

Yes it is frustrating, but ultimately the division is poor, and if we bob around near the top half, we should be able to attract some better players either on loan or in the next transfer window. Too early to judge at the moment - the club are in transition and expecting us to just turn up and win 'because we're Sheffield United' and bigger than anyone else is foolish. The team will feed off the confidence of the fans - I appreciate it is a two-way street, but getting on the backs of a young and inexperienced (in terms of playing together) team is not helpful when we should be pulling together to get back into the Championship.

The team is poor, the division is poor and the opposition is poor - yet McCabe and Co expect Unitedites to turn up in their thousands to watch - It is a two way street and I expect Wilson to be honest and forthright not wishy washy and contrite - it is time to prove himself!
On this seasons performances the Championship is a million miles away!

When
Totally agree - last season how many times did he bring on BT with just minutes to go - I thought it was an appearance thing relayed to cash but it appears it's Wilsons 'thing'
Without wanting to harp on - Are we sure that Wilson is in control? He appears to be doing his best to prove otherwise! His aftermatch comments relate very little to what happened but it doesn't help Walker asking weak and bland questions when he should be asking 'two wins out of six matches - is that good enough to gain promotion' answer 'NO'

When do you ever see a reporter ask the correct questions. They always tip top around players / managers afraid that they will lose their press pass. Just look at AF and Man Utd. The first time someone asked him last years why has united being playing so badly in Europe, he got up and walk out in a rage. So what can you do

No we won't. We will take the cheep option like last year whilst our rivals will all splash out that extra bit to get the player that will take them up. It's the Blades way

We couldn't attract better players when we were in the Premier League so I can't see queues of players lining the car park waiting to put pen to paper in our current predicament. Always been a selling club, never had any ambition and we're skint. Probably best to accept where we are for now because we as fans can do nothing about it, the powers that be don't give a shit so please don't expect us to suddenly start signing players of any worth because we didn't do it when we had cash and now we have none.

We're pretty much stuck till McCabe does one, sad but true.

I am not advocating sacking the manager by the way - just pointing out that our start to this season is not as par as people might think it is because we are still unbeaten. We haven't really been tested yet because we have not played any of the pre season fancied teams (Bournemouth spent a lot but they were crap last season) - we will be playing some of the better teams over the next set of games - I am just concerned that we will be well off the pace by the time that sequence is complete - a sort of larger Brentford if you like

football is a strange game though Kenilworth and we support the most contrary team on the planet.. we'll just about go and beat Yeovil and Notts county now. you watch

I don't see many teams 'splashing' out in this division. Let's face it, the division is crap, the Blades are the biggest club and will be able to attract players if we are in a position to go for promotion. After all, we haven't really got many assets left to strip!

Sorry but I just don't get the "we'll be able to attract players" line. We aren't an attractive club, we're not media darlings, we don't appear ambitious to the outside world, and even if we were running away with the league we wouldn't be seen as a good career move for any ambitious player. Oh, and that's if we even tried to sign anyone of note because with Tightfist in charge then that aint going to happen.

For goodness sake, when will some of you get it. How many times over the years have you got giddy because the transfer window was opening? The "who will we sign" threads always make me laugh because there's all sorts of names thrown in, and some of you genuinely believe we have a chance of getting them..............and then we sign nobody.

I love my club, but we're being terribly mismanaged and we're being shat on, have been for years and so maybe that's why it doesn't hurt anymore, just makes me shake my head and wonder when some of you will see the light. We aren't very good, we aren't going to sign any big names, we're actually in the shit.

I didn't go either. After Saturdays bore draw doesn't seem that I missed much last night. Bit of a dilemna really, we seem to appreciate Wilsons approach in as much as the the team play football but there is a definite lack of bite or risk taking. Five draws in 7 games says it all, early days yet. Might pick up more points away than at home.
Hudds for a good while last season had more draws than wins under their belt. But I feel very doubtful about this season for us. More gloom than joy I feel.

Well our team have caused me to utter unbelievable curses thousands of times, as have referees, so wassock is rather mild , if a little bit rare.
