a bit of a bonus now that the game against Stoke is taking place at Bramall Lane on Wednesday. We didn't do well in the game earlier at the Bet365 stadium so I am hoping we field a strong 11 for this tie
It is clear that Stoke are able to invest in players for their reserves much more than teams like United can invest in the first team squad so it will be a good test for us. If you can get to attend I am sure you will not be disappointed in the way our 23s tackle a game like this. I always enjoy watching our young players squaring up to good opposition and we may also see some of the players on the fringes of the first team squad as well. The rules allow for a few overage players to be picked so it is always more difficult to second guess the composition of the team but I particularly enjoy watching the younger players who never let us down but it's beneficial to have one or two experienced guys hopefully to support the youngsters but I must say sometimes it's a young one who catches the eye.
One way or another I will let you know how I felt we got on.
